Synopsis:
Jake Green is a hotshot gambler, long on audacity and short on common sense. Jake served seven years in jail for a crime he didn't commit after taking the rap for mean crime boss Dorothy Macha. Upon his release he takes on Macha in a private casino game, causes humiliation, and wins. While Macha puts out an order on Jake's life, Jake meets brothers Avi and Zach who protect him and plot to take Macha down.

Weird movie, still watched every second of it. Somehow didn't make sense and at the same time made a ton of sense. Still don't get it but still think I understand what it was about. One of the better ones I watched, yet don't know what to think of it. Guess it is one of those rare ones that need time digesting. That is a big plus for me, much more depth then the usual blockbusters that try to say everything and in the process say nothing worthwhile.

Here are my thoughts. Best not confuse "intellectual" with clever, often meaningless or confusing dialogue. Statham is not a great actor; he excels at MMA scenes and that's why his movies have been so successful, all credit to him. A film which demands pure acting is therefore not his scene. This film is not chess, it is draughts (chequers in US vocabulary.) Nevertheless, thanks for the experience.
