Just some things you kept saying ladies boys. I bet you saw a few of them and didn't even know it. Thailand is one of those places they just don't make a big deal out of things . You need to go to more seedy areas where the go-go bars are to find more of the crazier stuff . Khaosan is more the college kids drinking area than a wild area "cheap booze & cheap drugs ". Not sure how long your in Thailand but they have some amazing looking temples you should put on list for family things. The handcrafting and art in Thailand is just crazy the skills some of them have .

Please don’t spoil taxi or tuktuk too much. They gradually get used to the tourist rate and regularly deny Thai passengers. For fair rate, you can call the service via Grab or Bolt.
