Critics when Part 6 came out: "This movie is darkly humorous and self aware! Yay! This movie is great!!" Critics when Jason X came out: "This movie is darkly humorous and self aware! Boo! What a piece of crap!!" To this day, that reception to Jason X pisses me off. While Jason Lives will always be my personal favorite, this movie is way up there, as well. And for much the same reason. Imagine that. I don't want to hear anyone tell me this movie is "too silly" when Part 6 began with a James Bond opening parody.

This movie was schlock, completely self-aware of how ridiculous the series had gotten to that point. It's not the best in the series, but it was fun enough.

I went to the theaters to watch this movie, it was....ok. Not the best movie but at least it was set in space like it was promoted as opposed to VIII being in Manhatten.

Before Freddy Vs Jason, this was the first entry in the series I ever got to see in theaters (I'm 36, at the time of this message)...and I loved every minute of it, and the experience :)

You know with how crazy this movie concept was, I actually enjoyed it for what it's worth. The fact that Jason looked so fucking bad ass in cyborg parts along with the kills he pulled off, it was a somewhat 7/10 type film for me.
