My friend bought me this modeling kit for my birthday after we watched fury. Now I'm in this new rabbit hole.

Great video ! It got me the incentive to get both the WW 2 and Korean War Shermans from storage ! Looking forwards to the next video . Be Safe, Tony

Lovely build and nicely filmed. On a side note, one feature of the old, much-maligned Airfix kits was that the instructions gave you the accurate technical terminology for every part. Stayed with me for life!

Excellent build! The louvered bit at the rear of the hull is the exhaust vent. It moved so the exhaust didn't blow a huge column of dust in the air and give away the tank's position

I did a Fury build using this kit (pics on my Instagram). The engineering that went into this kit is by far the best you can get. It was definitely a pleasure to build.

Love it when you start adding extras to the build. You say that Tamiya were making high quality kits in the1990's well I was building their kits in the 1970's and they were known as the Rolls Royce of model kits in those days and they just keep on improving. Keep up the good work. Best wishes Vic.

It's looking very good so far and the kit's quality is impressive (although Tamiya never seems to fail in that regard). I'm definitely looking forward to the next part especially since the E8 is my favourite US Sherman variant :)

That turret seam is actually there on the real ones. More prominent on some than others, but still there...lol.

Nice vid. P.s. Sherman tank wheel tyres do have a small central seam 😉

ALL road wheels have seams, it is the way the manufacturing process is done, they cast a mold for rubber to be poured into, and even to this day modern armor has seam lines on their rubber road wheels. On the vehicle s tat have been in service for awhile the wheels seam line has been worn away.

I am currently building the Tamiya 1/35 Panzer 38T and the fit so far is great. I also wondered if Tamiya formulated their extra thin cement to coincide with their plastic as they work perfectly together. Great video. Thank you.

I got this not that long ago. Great kit. However, I don't have any of that extra stuff

8:27 Very few of my wheels clip together. Maybe like 2 of them of all. Basically the plastic shaft wasn't made thick enough. The tiniest drop of Tamiya extra thin cement holds them together. Use too much, it'll run and glue everything together.

18:30 M4's actually had a casting seam in that area of the turret.

What is the large, curved tweezer like tool you're using to remove plastic detailing?

I have a photograph of "a paper doll." Unfortunately, you can't see enough of the front of the vehicle, so can't tell if there are sandbags on the front. But for sure, it has the T-66, not the T-80 tracks.

You should try the mig ammo ultra glue for your p.e it gives you time to move it into place as it is slow setting but when it does dry it has more hold than the old super glue, I don't think you would go back to that super glue crap again

The seam on the turret should remain, it’s a remnant of casting the turret. In fact it’s not nearly as pronounced as it should be.

Great looking build so far. I have this kit partially built and 'thought'🤔 I was going to build it out of box but ended up doing lots of tweaking and detailing, ie adding welds, foundry marks, etc. On mine I decided to use some aftermarket Fruil tracks. Two things you could add, 1. Just forward of the rounded fuel cap splash guard (the ones you added the single drain hole to each, is another splash guard that would have one or two holes near the weld seam. Here's a pic from Prime Portal data3.primeportal.net/tanks/dmitry_kiyatkin/m4a3e8/images/m4a3e8_018_of_109.jpg 2. I would change out the charging handle on your M2 .50 Caliber MG. Cant wait to see the next episode! Cheers and stay healthy!😃👍👍👍

You say you "waffle on". There are some modelers that jabber on and on simply because I think they like to hear themselves talk. MAN, am I glad you don't do that!
