Delighted you’re going back to the Beginners Armour modelling, I’ve built the Tamiya Panzer II, Stug IV and the Churchill following your guides. A similar guide to aircraft would be great too. Your channel got me back into modelling, thank you.

I bought a Wingsy 109 and it’s your fault😂😂 What a beautiful kit. Cheers 👍

Thank you! As a beginner modeller, I’m really happy you going down this route instead of buying aftermarket this and that. Just a nice (affordable) model, paints, and basic weathering. I really appreciate this. As a family father who builds models with my son and no room in my city apartment for 400 paints etc, this is just what I need

I love the eastern front subject in my models. I mostly build luftwaffe aircraft but have built some really nice kits from various manufacturers. One of my favourites from operation Barbarossa is the Italeri Messerschmitt Me321 Gigant in 1/72 scale. Absolutely huge wingspan for the scale and really looks good when paired up with the 1/72 Heinkel He111Z zwilling glider tug also from Italeri. Some other cool topics from the eastern front is the german tank busters and ground attack aircraft like the Henschel Hs129, Focke Wulf Fw187 Falke and of course the Ju87 Stuka! I love this hobby 🤩

Good to hear you're an angler too (I'm guessing West Country like me). Modelling is my go to winter pastime when the weather means I can't fish! Always need a back up.

Very excited about the updated beginners build series, for both tanks and aircraft. My first build coming back to the hobby after 30 years was building along with you on the panzer beginners series. Looking forward to the Sherman build.....

It’s always so satisfying when you can scoop up an older, still super detailed, Eduard photo etch set for a “fiver”

Cool! Keen to see the Tamiya Tiger build and all the Barbarossa stuff. My first build getting back into it was Zvezda's BA-10, which probably wasn't the best choice but it turned out ok. Then I built Tamiya's KV-2 (far more enjoyable!). You have got me interested in the SCW subjects as well! (Wingsy's twin Bf109s and ICM's Hs126 are in the stash). I have Dragon's late T34/76 with lots of nice extras but it cost 90AUD/46GBP. Dragon are re-releasing a lot of their kits with upgrades at the moment. Greatly enjoy the channel. Cheers. Matt 🦘🦘🦘

There’s plenty in your videos for advanced modelers. I’m not a Master, but probably advanced and I always find something of interest.

Looking forward to these builds. Your recent videos have caused me to think about my situation. I have stalled out too. But you are inspiring me. I like cars (hotrods) and military aircraft. So I have selected two straight forward builds (one each) to focus on. Maybe I should consider my first armor model with a certain Tamiya kit? ;) Regardless, I will build pretty much out of the box and not get stuck into super detailing or accuracy. Just work on improving modeling skills. Get something finished! Thanks!

I have just recently finished the same Tamiya Sherman tank, and I know it is one of their older kits, but I found it a great pleasure to build, I even used the same caml scheme, bedt regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les

I like the way your channel is going now. Obviously there is room for "super builds" but personally I prefer the more basic achievable approach. One thing I would say is that the history behind the subject IS interesting to me, and I'm sure to others. So please don't assume we know all about a tank or plane or a paint scheme or a theater of war etc. It is always interesting to hear why you chose a certain model to build and in which scheme etc. Thank you very much.

Content looks brilliant! Looking forward to seeing many more videos but don’t worry if your family time comes first and things happen a lot slower than you hoped. Congrats again on the new addition to the family 👏

Talking about German logistic support you need to watch the Australian Armour museum workshop Wednesday YT channel. Presently they are restoring a Stug III and stripping the transmission. This transmission is incredibly complicated with about a million ballrace bearings and two million other parts. Its designed to do about half a million miles but almost impossible to repair in the field. The Germans never seemed to get the idea of building for simplicity and maintenance through logistic support, where as Stalin saw the T34 and almost a one shot device.

Your Beginner Guide to Armour Modelling is what got me into the hobby. Have you considered doing something similar, in a sort of spin-off series, focusing on aircraft? Your tutorials are excellent.

Looking forward to the Barbarossa content. As you say all the early T tanks and the German stuff. Got a stash of early war vehicles in general, far more interesting than another Tiger.

Superhobby have always caught my eye because they seem to have a much larger range of kits, specifically early war stuff, than anything in the UK, but I've always been too nervous to buy anything. Seeing how your experience with them has been positive I will have to give them a shot. I fancy a Vickers 6ton and a WZ34 I think.

Im enjoying your videos. It's good to see someone actually being able to make Tamiya armor kits turn out decent. I nearly left the hobby over those plastic turds. I've sold or given away almost every non-aircraft Tamiya kit I had, aside from the 1/35 Kübelwagen and the new-ish tool M551 Sheridan (Vietnam era).

And with all the vehicles used, horses were also used by the Germans during Barbarossa. I read figures of over 700,000!
