I've been thinking the interior of the dome could be an exact copy, made with the same plaster molds as the 1901 expo. That one had the domes white sections as glass and built a square building with 4 half domes off every other arch of the central dome. The 1901 building is complete gone.

@@JasonJose if you're interested, the building I think it's a copy off was the temple of music, the building the president was shot in, even more history though, the steel frame could possibly be from the same expo as the Effel tower, reused multiple times till comming to rest in sanfransico, not that I'm sure it still has its steel frame after reconstruction, or if that would make it more than a copy to anyone.

I attended a performance of the San Francisco ballet there once. I believe the ballet's usual venue was undergoing remodeling so they performed at the Palace of Fine Arts
