I think it’s a GREAT LESSON to have the parents experience what it’s like to try to drop weight while siting in a buffet with everyone around you is eating tons. It is an experience that they can now say they know what it’s like what the kids go through.

Went to your meet in Massachusetts on Sunday to see how your meets were run, It seemed to go really well but as a spectator it was terrible. Coaches and parents were standing in front of spectators were they could have stood off to the sides. It is about the kids but it could have been about both if done right. My son wants to wrestle and this system seems to be a great way to organize the meet. I think you have the right way moving forward!
@JasonLayton3 жыл бұрын
That was their first event using our system (we only did the pairings, we weren't in charge of the actual event). I'm sure they will get better once they have a few events under their belt. I made a list of suggestions for them after the event, and that was one of them. Thank you for coming.

It honestly breaks my heart that Tyler lost. It’s annoying too because Tyler has the ability to be a great wrestler and he’s pretty good now, but if he can’t control his emotions on the mat, he’ll never get to that really good level. Good wrestlers win but fall short when they find another good guy, great wrestlers find a way to win no matter what
@MC-yy7lo3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, first off this kid is 2 birth years older than Tyler so to lose to him is fine, the quitting he needs to control. He is showing signs of maturing, some matches he is doing better & some he relapses. So baby steps & you’ll see an awesome match in a future episode where he doesn’t quit & has an unbelievable come from behind win. Thank you

Tyler clearly cared and was up set. You should not call your kid a fucking baby because they get upset because they lost a match they dreamed of winning. That’s not going to do anything. Yes Tyler needs to get needs to get tougher but that’s only going to make him not like the sport.
@MC-yy7lo3 жыл бұрын
I didn’t call him a baby because he got upset that he lost a match. I called him a baby because he got scored on in the first 30 seconds of the match & starting crying at that point & stopped wrestling. You can’t stop wrestling 30 seconds into a match when someone scores on you.

@@MC-yy7lo good point. He took himself out of that match.
@davidmason3163 жыл бұрын
@@MC-yy7lo I think the point, as commenter said, was "that's not going to do anything." Demeaning your kid isn't going to teach them to manage their emotions better, just going to create resentment (even IF you have a point, which you do).
