So glad you guys got to camp in one of the park's real campgrounds. Nothing like it. The goats are near impossible to see if they are on the mountains. I actually used binoculars mounted on a tripod, because I was told where to find them and that was even hard. Unless of course, they are along the roadside. But once I found them it was amazing to see these goats on the sheer face of the mountain, with 1000's of metres of freefall below them. They were not that big even when viewed through binoculars. I remember stopping at the Columbia glacier tourist centre and they had a pop machine outside. The pop cost a dollar, pop at the time was less than a quarter, my 14-year-old self was shocked.

Icefield Parkway is just so incredible. I had the same weather when I was there in 2017. Hope to go there again next spring after spending the winter on Vancouver Island and your videos are such a good inspiration! Can't wait to see more, especially from Banff because I loved this place so so much. Vermillion Lakes was just breathtaking

have you guys ever been to joseph, oregon?? it has some pretty awesome mountain trails & is on a glacial lake. There is also this awesome tram that takes you 4,000ft in elevation (pretty touristy). it’s an awesome little place me & my fam go every year!

Thanks for taking me back to the Icefields Parkway!! Oh how I wish I was able to come back. It's crazy not been able to travel freely. Not having a trip planned or knowing when I will be able to do so, it's... frustrating. Don't get me wrong, there is more important things in the world right now. Well it's hard to say. You can still see Athabasca Falls very quickly since the parking lot is right off the main road and the falls are a 5 minute walk (or less) from your car. You could pop in and judge for yourself if it's worth staying longer. It's a very pretty spot!

I'm sure you'll love it, it's such an amazing area! Yes we carried bear spray and I would recommend doing so. Gives you a little piece of mind with grizzlys in the area
