The black dial day date is a special piece. You know it was a custom order where the buyer checked every box on the options list. Thanks for sharing.

This channel and its content is fast becoming one of my favourite. Only one of the few watch channels that I watch every episode. Thank you for the proper watch content and none of this nonsense hype and investment content.

Very refreshing and interesting. None is about marketing hype, only rare old sports pieces that are great heritage. Agree with the guest, vintage watches are powerful memory magnifiers, and you do in a way connect with an era, like time travel, some emotional rush. It is for the memories that I buy 1960s pieces. I am a memory seeker or nostalgia hunter, not a watch collector. This is what makes some watches even more powerful. When you know why you love some watches, then things in your collection become crystal clear. Today on the wrist : 165.024 Seamaster300 with 1963 "Swiss Made" dial.

@@Wunderkammer_by_ChristianLinkthis is the most fascinating vintage collection I have seen. I am in North America, so perhaps don't have the same access to these pieces that you would in Switzerland, and am amazed at how you acquired them. Do you have the pieces authenticated? If you ever think of selling the 1016, let me know.

The white dial Heuer does not have a Valjoux 72 movement inside. The valjoux 72 movement has 3 subdials.

I like this channel and enjoy these collection conversations a lot, too. But it's a little annoying hearing the dude say "it's not my taste" or "I wouldn't wear it" after examining every non-Patek/Rolex watch. We get it bro, your taste is boring and generic. You don't have to remind us every 30 seconds....lol
@j.r.faasen97072 жыл бұрын
It's also annoying when interviewers always like everything they see; you'll never hear anything critical in Talking Watches by an interviewer in conversation with a collector. I think it's refreshing for someone to not shy away from proclaiming what they actually like; that doesn't say anything bad about the piece they dislike, it's a conversation about watches and people have preferences... Especially with excentric pieces it would be weirder if Jasper liked to wear it than not.
@blaketaylor93172 жыл бұрын
@@j.r.faasen9707 Fair point. Admittedly, even though I find it annoying at times, its also endearing because it shows he's being authentic and stays true to his likes and dislikes. So yes, in that sense I do appreciate his candor.

Stop ✋️ saying "it's not my taste " I don't like this one etc .. it's his collection not yours. It's unprofessional and cringe to watch... you never see this on a professional interviewers

Sorry, I was unaware that I was not entitled to an opinion, or at least not allowed to share it on my own channel. My apologies I’m not a “professional interviewer”

I can see its "different" but its his channel, either you like his attitude blunt honest opinions and super watch knowledge or you dont. I see your point but personnally im awfully tired of the so politically correct. And as you could see the owner is a faithfull customer, so most likely he doesnt see it that way and has confidence in his own taste. Im not even a Rolex fan (although that 1675 is fabulous) but Im a watch enthusiast and surely enjoy Jasper's channel. If I didn't you wouldnt even find me commenting here (And Im in no way saying you shouldnt...): To each its own I guess. Me? I would take that 40's fleamarket Heur anyday...
