Jatai Feather Razor Fundamentals Course - Class 2 - One Length Bob

The first hands on cutting class of the Razor Fundamentals course. We focus on how to get the most solid, blunt shape with a razor. We practice this technique while working on cutting a straight line for a One Length Bob hairstyle. This class is taught by Jatai's Director of Content, Russell Mayes. He's a hairstylist and educator.

Do you want the hair to be wet, dry, or does it not matter?

Razor cutting should mostly be done on wet hair. Razor cutting on dry hair is ok but should be done minimally such as for touch up work.

As a hairstylist myself I was taught that with razor hair cuts, you aren't going to have a perfect straight cut line because it cuts it to where it is soft and feathery
