Operator precedance work as PEMDAS P - Parenthesis E - Exponential M - Multiplication D - Division A - Addition S - Subtraction When two operator of same precedance are encountered(like [* /], [+ -]) it evaluates from left to right.

If you're having hard time getting all this then i recommend you to watch Harry's C course its only 15hrs long with practice set and mini project i know C and he has covered all this in that course and i am just now skipping 10 10 seconds its very easy for me now

This is valid for VBODMAS rule. Because if you take the whole b*b-4ac in parenthesis then you force to evaluate the minus before the divide . For precedence and associativity, You have to use the parenthesis like Harry sir used
