@@ShaneCrouch thanks yeah. Ive been mostly "brought up" on using Java 8 and used the old.folder structure. But lately have realised it is not a flexible and scaleable enough approach to grow and build on projects...this fits the bill and Im like "why hadnt I know about this before!". Is is worth it to always work at the latest version of JDK? As it stands...its at v18 now. Advice?

hi just curious how long did it take you to get your first programming job? i've got a interview a couple months ago but failed to ds interview... its a marathon not sprint but hopefully this year i will land my first position. first i need to strengthen my week spots.

keep in mind, I started 20+ years ago, although I do think the market is better now than then. it took me about 6-8 months to get my first job in programming. my situation was different though as I was mainly seeking a programming job within the company I already worked for. That first job can be hard, it's like dating, keep trying don't give up, improve each time, eventually you will click and get the position. keep practicing, building stuff on side etc etc.
