The reason bedrock has those changes is because java (the platform minecraft java edition was made on) has lots of limitations and differences with the way you can make games with it. Also bedrock is an independent game and doesn’t rely on java

If you want advice, look at what your friends play on. If most on bedrock, I would choose bedrock. If most on java, I would choose Java. Most of my friends are on console so I chose bedrock.
