Java8 | 40 | Sorting using Comparable Interface | Tamil

In this video, we will try to solve the previous problem with the help of a comparable interface. This solution is not based on Java8.
The Comparable interface in Java is used to compare objects of the same class. It provides a single sorting sequence, i.e., you can sort the elements on the basis of a single data member only. For example, it may be rollno, name, age or anything else.
The Comparable interface is defined in the java.lang package and contains only one method named compareTo(Object). The method compareTo() takes a parameter of the object of that class and returns an integer value.
➡️If the current object is greater than the specified object, the method returns a positive integer.
➡️If the current object is less than the specified object, the method returns a negative integer.
➡️If the current object is equal to the specified object, the method returns 0.
