As a adopted kid living in the USA, my mom was a single-parent and took care of me and my sister. We went from trailer parks to a women’s homeless shelter and then finally moved back in with my grandma. We were really poor and I grew up thinking it was normal to struggle so much and it was just apart of growing up. My mom passed away in April 2018 when I was 15 years old and I’m 20 now. Been on my own ever since and when the pandemic started I became homeless and stayed on the streets for two years. I’m doing a lot better now and have my own place! It’s not perfect but hey it’s mine. What I learned was that, in America it’s easier to turn a blind eye towards others suffering than it is to see yourself in their place one day. In reality though, we’re all closer to homelessness than most of us care to admit.

How much welfare are these families given per week? I don’t understand how the system works in the USA. I live in England. I know that benefits don’t cover much but it’s enough for a home, utilities & food. In Britain it’s usually previous dept (credit & store card minimum payments) that make life really hard for the long term unemployed. Obviously drugs are part of the ‘real’ homeless problem in Britain. I say “real” because homeless statistics include those in temporary housing, ie people living in hotels, paid for with welfare payments… I assumed that the families in this film were like the British equivalent but it seems like they have to come-up with the rent themselves, without any financial aid!?! ** Do unemployed people need to rely on charity? Why can’t these families get welfare/benefits from a government department? Things are so different in Britain. I complain about UK poverty in “one of the richest countries in the world” but it seems so very much worse in the USA!! 😢 I’m shocked (if it’s true that they aren’t given welfare cheques to pay for rent & living expenses) What happens if they can’t find any work? Are they just thrown out to live on the streets??? It seems crazy to me!! * The government took 3 of their children away because they were so poor. THEN the government pays for those children to be cared for by others??!? WHY not give the family the money? Or at least, more money to buy food, clothes etc??

As someone who used to work for Disney I can attest to how awful it was trying to make ends meet. When I worked on the Disney College Program in 2000 I was payed $5.85/hour because it was considered an "internship". I also had to live in a 3 bedroom apartment with 5 other people and each of us was charged $265 a month for rent. I lived on cheap ramen for 5-6 months while working there. I then worked full time in entertainment at the Magic Kingdom for 3 years and left making only $8.50/hour, and that was with a 50 cent show bonus. That place is glorified slave labor.

What the general public doesn't realize unless they've been there, that once people are caught in the "poverty loop", life becomes more expensive than somebody that has their life together. Food is more expensive because you're buying it meal by meal with no way to cook, they're burning gas looking for a place to sleep, most likely any bills include late fees, your credit is likely bad which can exclude you from jobs and definitely exclude you from a place to live as well. The things you're not excluded from you will be charged more due to your credit. The uphill battle gets steeper and steeper once you're at this point.

You can come out of it but most likely it takes much longer than most people can deal with it I know from experience the only way out is to find a place to live that you can afford and save the smallest amount of money I lived in the smallest apartment I could find in a rundown area it cost me $100 a week but that included utilities and I had my own shower and bathroom and it had a refrigerator and a stove top so I could cook stuff and keep stuff cold and I worked a seasonal job where I made about for 500 bucks a week for like seven months a year but in the winter time I didn’t make anything except whatever type of work I could come across and it was during the great recession that I was doing this mostly it was just temporary labor jobs or a car wash I worked at McDonald’s for a little while but it took me about six years to finally get my shit together enough to move into a house and to most people they wouldn’t make it six months but like I said the secret is you have to live in someway to save money if you can save $25 a week and $50 a week after your living expenses then you can multiply that number by how many weeks it will take you to advance yourself and if it’s $25 a week you’re able to save well then maybe it will take you Two years of living like that to get them move somewhere else but it’s very hard it’s very hard and there’s a lot of ways to give up

At 12 I got a job working (illegally) in a restaurant and was able to buy school clothes for the 1st time in memory - a single pair of jeans and a shirt each. I was SO HAPPY! @@evgeniisemanov3399 very broad and inaccurate statement. For example, in australia you might be an unskilled worker as say, a machine operator in a factory. If you are full time, you will get annual leave, sick leave and possibly a semi decent hourly rate thanks to uncomfortable conditions or danger. A part time unskilled worker in a supermarket will not get sick leave or annual leave and will probably get min wage, and as their pay rate goes up, the hours they are given to work goes down. That has been shown to happen in germany since the introduction of min wage as well. Also, what is a 'living wage'? Living for whos expenses? In what area? Living costs are different from suburb to suburb let alone city to city. Should a job a high school kid can do pay for a 2 cars, tvs and a mortgage? Who gets to define what exactly a living wage is? The fact is, if you want to earn more, you either upskill or do a job that others dont want or cannot do. If there is 1000s of people just as capable of doing your job, youre not worth much. 'Living wage' is such a stupid term that is vague and meaningless. You live within your means, and work to earn the means to support the way you want to live.

The US army is incapable of winning real wars. Therefore the military budget is a scam. It exists because it is the simplest solution for so many people both Uber rich and not so rich to have guaranteed sources of revenue of all kinds. In Afghanistan they have just proved they are good for nothing. The military budget is bloated for the same reason the speculative housing market is bloated : everyone wants to make a living through finance and no one wants to produce real things any more. But however bloated the military is it is incapable and also without intention of winning real wars. They were able to demolish Iraq but nothing there has been really conquered and rebuilt for real Americans : the Americans are now in a worse position there than they were when Saddam was still there. If these military bases worked for real like they did in Europe during the Marshall Plan they would be a factor of prosperity.

This Opportunities come very rare or way more difficult for example for any person that "Doesn't look white" .I'm a white European person I feel happy being approved easily for many applications or occasions however my wife has the biggest problems to get approved even to apply for a simple credit card and she has even better record than I do, just because she's American/Hispanic. Most of the more severe illnesses happen to people by surprise, unexpectantly, impacting first in the brain, then in the corresponding organ which that part of the brain controls. The end of WWI had absolutely everything to do with the Flu and lung TB outbreak that occurred killing millions. In nature, the biological conflict linked with a territorial fear (just what it means-a fear in your territory, your home, your community, etc.) is a widening of the bronchia (tissue loss). Your body attempts to widen your bronchia in order to allow more air into your lungs to give you more strength and energy to fight to keep your territory safe. Stay with me.......The biological conflict linked with a death fright impacts the lungs. The lungs attempt to grow larger in order to allow more air in because breath equals life, as we all know. No breath equals death. While you are in the fear or death fright conflict, you notice no symptoms of “disease”, except you have cold hands, cold feet, you can’t sleep, you awaken at 3 AM every night, you have little appetite. During the war, millions of people were in fear of the bombing of their homes and cities where the war was most active. Fearing for their lives, their loved ones in the war, their ability to survive. The food in the stores was sparse due to shortages. This lasted for 4 long years! The longer the conflict, the worse the healing phase. Within 2 weeks of the German Chancellor announcing the end of WWI, these millions of people ALL went into the healing phase all at the same time. It is during the healing phase that you experience symptoms of illness! What is the healing phase of the bronchia widening? Severe bronchitis, pneumonia. The body attempts to refill this lost tissue and you experience inflammation, fever, coughing, body aches, fatigue, etc. What is the healing phase of the extra lung tissue that grew? Decomposing of the tissue by TB bacteria and fungi. The symptoms of this healing phase are: severe coughing up of blood and tissue, fever, inflammation, severe mucous, body aches, fatigue. During this decomposing of the extra tissue (tumor), the body expels a lot of protein, and without replenishment, severe protein loss can result in death. Antibiotics did not exist yet. If TB bacteria does not exist in a person or they have been vaccinated against TB (big mistake), then the tumor will simply encapsulate and become dormant and not harm you. Who died during the Spanish Flu? Mainly the poor who could not afford to buy meat and proper nourishment, and the people who were directly impacted by the bombings and destruction of their homes. Millions of people suffered fear and death frights during the fighting of WWI, and millions of people all went into healing at the end of it. Not everyone was affected because not everyone suffered the same way. It’s not a “flu”, it’s not something you “catch”. It’s biological, meaningful, and unavoidable. One hundred years later, a Fear Campaign begins, using the media to spread it......

@@AgendaInMind Wow. Nice comments on the times. People are driving themselves everywhere except reality and truth. The media indeed has much to do with spreading vast amounts of misinformation. Knowledge and skill can help one untangle the mess to find truth imbedded in the various media offered. But most do not possess these skills. They believe whatever seems true and documented (falsely). Most people don't like information that does not pass through their filters. It's too uncomfortable often promoting change. I have the hardest time understanding why enough people supported Trump to put him in office. Trump has been bankrupt too many times to count. He likes 🥥 as he can play the shell game on everyone. He throws people under the bus. He lies about his "friends"(?). He is telling people not to testify against him because he's an immune president(?). He may actually be broke. He had his father bail him out of many of his failed business ventures. Trump was fired from his own shark show. This is over-the-top info to reject him. He went into the presidency as a huge worldwide embarrassment. No proper interactions. Insulting many dignitaries. It's like having beer drinking Billy Carter, the brother of President Carter, in office. Billy did manage to come up with Billy Beer while his brother was in office. I do not want Trump. I do not want Billy. I do not want ignorant fools in my office. I need a Roosevelt or Kennedy or Johnson. I need a well dressed man or woman. One who has decorum to show the people the best way to play. Then I want a new president to lead us; To guide us to a better way of life. We want houses and cars and spouses. We want clean air and freedom without cartoons. Let's welcome new ways and be refreshed in the anewed world our president will help us create.

@@AgendaInMind Also, your viewpoint on how stress messes with breathing (I hold my breath). I appreciate how you wove together this concept to the healing point. I totally agree that right now we are (hopefully) on the precipice of covid-19 diminishing soon. Many healing and suffering all at once is chaotic. This idea I understand and can see how it has worked within my life. Thank you for sharing your ideas. I believe my healing will be much better focused.

A few years ago . My family was kicked out of my mother's home . We had just moved in to it after my niece and her boyfriend lived there and not paid the mortgage for 6 months. It was already in foreclosure when we got there . I tried like hell to find out if we could just send money to catch up or was it too late? We were both working full time and wanted to save my mother's house but 2 weeks after arriving it was sold and we were given 3 days to get out. We were forced to use the savings to get a storage unit and a semi live in hotel room. It was 250 a week. We have 3 kids. It took us a full year to save enough to pay a deposit and rent but we worked very hard and got am apartment. Damn I'll never forget how hard it was to see my son sleep on the floor for a year. 😔 but we're in a house now. You really learn to feel blessings and Thank God for my degree so I can earn enough to stay in this house, especially after my husband's stroke.
