علی بھائی اسلام و علیکم ..... بہت ادب کے ساتھ آپ کی بات سے اختلاف کرنے کی جسارت کر رہا ہوں کہ غامدی صاحب کو لوگ صرف اس لئے پسند کرتے ہیں کہ وہ کسی فرقے کی نمائندگی نہیں کرتے....میں غامدی صاحب کو سنتا ہوں اور ان کی بے حد عزت کرتا ہوں اس کی وجوہات یہ ہیں: ١. میں نے موجودہ دینی علماء میں غامدی صاحب کو بہترین اخلاق کا حامل انسان پایا ٢. نہ صرف بلند اخلاق ہیں بلکہ سب سے زیادہ مہذب انداز میں بات کرتے ہیں. ٣. میں نے کبھی غامدی صاحب کو دوسروں پر فتوے ٹھوکتے ہوۓ نہیں دیکھا ٤. میں نے غامدی صاحب کو ہمیشہ ''سب سے پہلے قران'' سے دینی مسلہ بیان کرتے دیکھا. باقی کے مولوی حضرات انسان کی لکھی ہوئی کتابوں سے دین سکھاتے ہیں ٥. اگر غامدی صاحب کا موضوع دینی مسلہ یا نقطہ یا اختلاف ہوتا ہے تو وہ اس پر ہی رائے زنی کرتے ہیں ... کبھی لوگوں کو ڈسکس نہیں کرتے ٦. غامدی صاحب نے کبھی اپنے آپ کو عقل کل نہیں کہا .... اپنی تحقیق کو کبھی حتمی نہیں کہا ....اپنے آپ کو ہمیشہ ایک طالب علم ہی کہا ٧. غامدی صاحب نے کبھی اپنے مخالف کو گمراہ یا کسی کا ایجنٹ نہیں کہا .... حتکہ پاکستان بدر بھی ہونا پڑا مگر صرف سوچ اور فکر کو ہی برا کہا انسان یا فرقے کو نہیں اور بھی کئی معاملات ہیں جہاں غامدی صاحب دوسرے اہل علم اور مولویوں سے بہتر ہیں. فی الحال اتنا ہی کافی ہے جزاک الله

Mai India se hun. You have meet with ghamidi saheb but i think you dont know about him. Mai aple barelvi tha fir zakir nayak ko sunkar ahle hadith ko sahi samajhne laga phir aapko suna aap or behtar lage. Phir aapke muh se ghamidi saheb ka naam bar bar suna to phir ghamidi saheb ko sunne or padhne laga shuru me ajeeb laga but bad me mere sochne ka tariqa hi badal gaya ghamidi saheb ko sunkar. Ali bhai aap unke bare me bohat zyada ghalat bolte hai. Unko ustad mante ho to unse yahi seekh lete ki kisi ki baat ko wese hi pesh kare jese ki usne kahi. Par aap bhi wahi karne lagte hai jo baki molvi karte hai. Aapko kya lagta hai unhone ye hadith nahi padhi hogi? Ilm k mamle me aap bohat peeche hai unse. Aapse ye ummid nahi thi.

Growing up we were taught that Music is Haram and given references from Prophet PBUH sayings, now we are hearing that music is not haraam and also given references ... soon there will be a time when men & women shaking hands will be acceptable and there will definitely be some authentic references to present too at that time ..... I am not a scholar like Javed Ahmed Ghamdi or like Engr Muhammad Ali Mirza (have a deep respect for both) but I think sometimes, what's right and what's wrong is subjective to the situation and intention.

Scholars can't change rulings simply on whims and desires but IF someone established a ruling on flawed reasoning, that can and should be reversed no matter what time or era it is. That's only what's happening here otherwise what is Haram is very clearly explained in the Quran and through authentic Hadith.

The ruling of shaking the hands of the opposite gender depends upon the age of the opposite gender. According to the Hanafi and Hanbali schools of fiqh, the following are permissible: 1) A young man shaking the hand of an elderly woman who does not have lust and nor would others be attracted to her. 2) A young woman shaking the hand of an elderly man who does not have lust nor would others be attracted to him. 3) An elderly man shaking the hand of an elderly woman who do not have lust nor are others attracted to them According to the Maliki and Shafi’ī schools of fiqh, it is not permissible to shake the hand of the elderly even if they do not have lust]
