Great episode Sorabh. Had the good fortune of meeting Jaaved at the Khar Gym swimming poolside back in the early 80s (I am 6 months younger than him). A few of us just sat around with him and he regaled us with an entire impromptu performance of mimicking all the actors of the day.

Sorabh thank you for this incredible talk with him. Javed sir is basically our childhood. Grown up watching Boogie Woogie & Takeshi’s Castle. Also, there’s a story about this film 1989 film Thaanedar that has the song Tamma Tamma. The legend is there is a dance sequence in the song with chairs which was very difficult for Sanjay Dutt learn, so the stand in for Sanjay Dutt in that one portion was Javed Jaffrey.

I love you Sorabh Sir. You have invited those public figures who actually are very rare to find on in the general media. Thank you so much for all these informative podcasts. I have a special admiration for Javed Sir. Back in 2006, he once came to attend a wedding program straight from Mumbai to Dhaka just for the request of one of his fans and it wasn't on a monetary basis at all! If one has dealt with him personally know that Javed Sir is a fantastic human being at heart. And to be honest no matter how much you laugh, do silly stuff, deep down most of us know that Sorabh Sir you have a golden heart and deep respect for human beings of all origins.

Sorabh is a really good host. He knows exactly when to interrupt, or when to take superchats. Such a good listener. He knows when to take a back seat and let his guest talk. In this case , Javed had so much to say and Sorabh just let him talk without interrupting. That is not an easy skill to have, being a good listener.
