BECO was nationalized and killed by state. At large I agree. But this is a not the total truth. Many things make companies flip and flop. The founder CEO seldom designates power to others. Niether employee nor future owners. Most of the business play are one man show. They not even transfer the intellect. Have a feeling grandeur that is endangered by modern thoughts. The ladder which he climbed may not be good for another decade. So many reasons which are common other than individual mishap.

I think another factor is the redtapism .every industrialist had to rock &roll with the 30 differnt govt departments .which is impossible to be handled here thats why corporate culture & transformation couldnt flourish .managment even can,nt breath beside they may focus on R&D .pakistan have no road map lack of a longterm industrial policy ,agri policy ,education policy , even regulators could nt be established yet .here govt is adding 01 more obsticle each year instead of refucing the redtap.
