Excellent drill. very useful to stay closed and to prevent the upper body to lean forward by mantaining the feet and hip ahead all the time. And, fo sure, the best javelin coach on the internet!!

What I like here in this drill, especially three impulse steps, that it teaches the athlete to drive off the left leg hard, and surpass the right leg/foot touch down...something beginners have a problem doing.

Totally agree! Sometimes you can see the rhythm change between their first and third impulse as they figure it out.
