How effective are the Javi style nymphs compared to the same type of nymph not tied with a Javi body? I ask because the Javi nymphs are substantially thicker than the same pattern tied without the body. I have also seen the Javi body used on the front 1/2 of the shank with material tied only behind it. There is also typically a wing case pulled over the length of the Javi body. Have you seen this also?

These nymphs mainly serve as sinkers. They work very well in deep places. I use them little. I do not have many patterns on Javi's heads. If the fish are deep, they will definitely be useful.
