Makhachev dropped Oliveira with a counter punch last time, so adding variations with kicks might be beneficial.. Kicking can help control the opponent’s movement; and a powerful kick (even partially blocked) would help create openings for other moves (punches, takedowns etc)

It was our plan. Well, step up to 170 and we can see how good Islam really is. I am sick of this crap, really. Islam is a big 155 guy. He pushes the limit. At 170 he won't be and that is huge. Can you imagine Islam fighting Colby? The stand-up would be a whole different level. How about Usman? Both Khabib and Islam are big 155 pounders and Khabib didn't go up. Why? Islam beat up a guy that is 5-6 inches shorter. Big whoop. Khabib didn't move up in weight because he would lose a big weapon. His size and Islam is even bigger. Fighters should be weighed when they enter the octagon and have to be within 5 pounds of each other. Why have weight classes if you don't know what they weigh during the fight?
