Abu Daawood (4078) narrated that Rukaanah wrestled with the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) threw him to the ground. Classed as hasan by al-Albaani in al-Irwaa’ (5/329).

@@EleosGames I think that’s a matter of opinion brother. In Islam, a woman has the right to put forth her conditions prior to marriage. If she is a lady who wants to engage in trade and pursue a career oriented path away from raising children, then that is permissible and she can make that clear and a suitable man will be matched to her. However, claiming that women who choose to raise their children at home have no choice is inaccurate, although there are unfortunate exceptions in ALL societies.

Multiple time Gold medalist in Judo. Won multiple BJJ tournaments. Better battle iq and experience than anyone in the sport. P4P number 1 even when Jones was still active. Arguably never lost a round. Set records in ufc that will never be beaten.

@@tyn7443 As I said, Khabib became the P4P number 1 even when Jones was active. Now Khabib is a better fighter than Jones in every way except for striking. And to me GOAT means a better fighter, the guys you faught don't make you GOAT. Khabib has a better skill set, more experience, better mindset, stronger base, more battle iq and he has set records in the ufc as the most dominant fighter and the most take downs in a single match. All these things make Khabib a much better fighter than Jones.

This is sunnah l never knew it was! When l was litle l use to go mosque to learn Quran and almost every time we use to wrestle even in mosque with imam hyping us. I remember l use to win over every one in my age even those whom were few years older. our imam was quite young he call me out if me and him can wrestle and we did and l won that too. suphanAllah in the end we all got sweets and this is one of most special day of my life. I wish l have continued with wrestling. I was very talented as my whole family members are. Im kurd from Eastern Turkey. I admire dagestanis wish them nothing but best.

This is also very common in my country Afghanistan, I feel like this wrestling culture is common like this in all Muslim countries and Muslims. It is beautiful, sometimes we would get very small amount of money as a price to encourage us to do better. Every day after school i went to the mosque for Quran lessons. After the lesson the Imam picked pairings between the kids and we wrestled until somebody lay on his back. It was so much fun to wrestle on the big carpet in the mosque man i miss these days.

losing is better early on. i was always strong as as a kid an were generally good on things i do. was top on lessons also in school. was quite good on armwrestling and i thought i could beat everyone. but since began to lose at these things i was not that good at handling defeats. i strongly believe knowing how to lose and being okey with it. and trying to win and compete in a healthy way is one of the most important things in life. that is why a health competition as a kid like wrestling is really important.

The reason is because wrestling is a core martial art of Islam(religion), and these Dagestanis are very religious and have stuck to roots of wrestling. The final prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was an avid wrestler too and HIGHLY recommended it for Muslims to practice. In fact, wrestling or martial arts is considered a form of worship in Islam. You get rewarded for it.
