I grew up living next to Javier back in the 80's. I would always watch him and his buddies (from a distance) train in the garage. I would sometimes fall asleep to the sounds of them training well into the late night hours. Man, I wish I woulda had the guts to ask him if i could hang out and train with them, but I was only like 10 or 11 years old and they were beasts! Anyway, its a fun memory I have to tell those I run into that are MMA connected. Congrats on making it from a garage trainer to a world class trainer Javier!

Volk looked good in the fight with Ilia. He won the first round and was even looking good in the second. He got hit, it happens. He could have been recovering for 12 months and anyone would have got slept from that punch. Ilia's boxing is the real deal. I deff wanna see a rematch but if Ilia takes it, Volk needs to either reconsider fighting or at least start working his way up again

Volk was doing ok. Ilia was a bit tentative. Maybe working volk out. Volk does need a rest though. Being active is good but in combat sports compared to other sports, the body takes so much punishment (not just in the fight but 8 week gruelling camps).

Alex should have left Islam alone fighting other lightweights and focused on his own division. Alex' team underestimated Islam's performance in their first fight; I had Islam winning 4 rounds but Alex had moments in all rounds.
