All these guys should just stay in their weight classes and do their best there. Clean out your division then maybe think of moving up. There's a reason there's been so few double champs...it makes things messy. Ilia talks about moving up after 1 defence? What if Suga decides he wants to move up?

The problem is, I feel like Islam doesn't have much to gain if he wins but all to lose. Look at his fight vs Volk. After he beat Volk, people would be like "oh he beat a small guy... lower weight class." Even though at that time, Volk was on his prime. Now Volk is no longer the same after getting knocked out by Islam. Islam should focus on moving higher if Shavkat wins. Oh keep building his legacy in his own weight class.

It’s the big difference in Khabib in Islam. Khabib has the big brother effect on Islam. Khabib is like merab and khamzat in his approach where Islam has all the same skills as Khabib applies different with more bjj and judo instead of wrestling but Islam can fkn wrestle very good he just likes the judo style and he’s methodical and toys with you while Khabib tries to kill you not caring if he gets tired but saying all that even tho I’ve been on the ilia train he can’t outgrapple Islam. He can ko him for sure not outgrapple him. Volk had Craig jones and the wrestling bros who are very very good and they couldn’t save volk from Islam. Islam def oitgrappled him don’t act like he didn’t.
