Watched both Pelé & Maradona when they were still playing. Pelé was the most complete player I've ever seen. Hardly any weakness to his attributes. He's could do the lot. Dribble, pass, score prolifically, head, shoot, tackle, freekicks, free-style skills, world class from both feet. But just on sheer, individualistic prowess. Messi is arguably the best. Everyone who saw Pelé play says the same you just said about Messi. That he could do everything in the pitch, even defend. He could do all Messi can and more. Messi was middle class in Europe as a teenager, while Maradona grew up in the slums of Buenos Aires, kicking rags and turning to cocaine to cope with his harsh life.
