This was great. I’m a music producer that’s getting into the video/interview/tutorial realm and have 2 shure sm7bs but I like the idea of not having a microphone in my shot. The rode ngt3 sounded pretty close to the sm7b as far as smoothness and bass on your voice. Thanks for putting all the time in for this comparison.

Great job on this video! Thanks for making it. This is a subject for which you can do all the research you want, but it really helps to have practical examples. Audio can either elevate your video, or cripple it. I just switched to using the XLR-K3M on my a6400, and the difference is considerable.

I love your style, It's a little improvisational and goofy seeing you hunched up between the different stands trying to get to the camera mic. And yet you still do such an amazing job of showing how each microphone works and how they sound, which not a lot of other people do. It's like you understand that you have to actually use a microphone for the viewer to understand what it sounds like!
