It’s the same border policy. All that happened is trump shut it down temporarily on an emergency basis because of the pandemic. That time passed and there was a flood of people waiting to come in… he didn’t solve anything… just punted it to the next administration and he would have had the same issue of he had taken over the next term. After re-watching the debate, I am convinced that the Democrat party had already decided to dump Joe before the debate. They wanted to put a nail in the coffin during it in order to have someone else step in while giving off the appearance of neutrality in an attempt to garner trust from the independents watching. The moderators did cover for Joe generally but there were still several moments where they REALLY left him out to dry. Ask yourself, why would the two moderators from CNN all of the sudden seemingly conduct a more or less fair debate with Trump in it whom they absolutely lied about and spoke with vitriol against since he ran in 2016. Not to mention how quickly the analysts over at CNN, MSNBC and others were all in agreement about him stepping aside or how CNN even "fact-checked" Joe Biden's claims. That normally would never happen. I think he will be given the opportunity to "graciously step down in order to focus on his family." If that angle already hasn't been presented to his team by now.

I watched some of the CNN pre-debate program (they did 5 hrs of it...) and it was so insanely biased that its an embarrassment that 'news' is in their name. It was nothing more than a 100% biased propaganda show. I watched the debate, then part of the CBS post debate program, and while they acknowledged bidens disappointing display.....all they could muster was predictable spin as well. I thought the News Nation coverage I switched to later was at least genuine. Featuring interviews from both sides, and addressing the realities going forward instead of just trying to deny what everyone just saw. Even though Coumo acknowledged the debate was not to his or his associates liking......he was honest in his assessment. An honesty absent from the other talking heads spin machines. He lamented how these 2 as candidates is a pathetic display of what our democracy produces, and what hard choices would likely be made next. Contrast that to Harris trying to play the whole thing down.....ridiculous. I'd not watched news Nation before, but I recall Brian Entin from the petitio and Idaho cases. I found NN to be actually attempting to be non biased and it was refreshingly different from the others who clearly don't even try to conceal their bias.

I think that one of the most important things that Donald Trump said to Joe Biden and to the viewers of the debate (if one can call it that) was that Joe never fired anybody. The whole country knows that Biden should have fired all of the top generals involved with the Afghanistan troop/civilian withdrawal.
