JAWA 250 goes 350 cc and takes off...

...or at least tries to take-off again. Well, with original exhausts it just doesn't seem enough steam to really lift off into the sky, but anyway it's great fun to ride this old #twostroke machine also on normal streets. I’m 62 now I’m riding a Harley , Kawasaki, v rod , bmw , but the most fun I ever had on any bike is my jawa two stroke 350 , perfect freedom with more power than I ever needed with very good handling. Now I’m riding a Harley road king kawasaki 1600 V rod, bmw . But this newer big cc bike just for showing off!!! I’m living I USA and I’m buying a 350 or 411 cc Royal enfield the sister of jawa 350 .

Yeah, this day made me sweat, man. Gearbox shift logic reversed compared to JAWA required max concentration to keep the engine alive.

Hello Sir, you are a very skilled machinist and a Jawa enthusiast. I reside in India and own a Yezdi Classic D250 1984 model(Yezdi 250 is based on Jawa 250). Though the spares and everything is available. My mechanic is concerned when I asked him to tune the Yezdi 250 to generate more power. I wish you were located in Mumbai, India; we here could have approached you to tune up our machines too

One bigger problem is the iron cast barrel / cylinder of you motorbike. It can certainly cope with a little more power, but nowhere near what you could achieve if it was made of aluminum.

What 2t oil are you using and in which/what ratio? Superb jawa :)

The bike mainly runs on 3% Motul 800, or 1% M800 + 2% Castrol RS1 for less smoke.

Oh yes, it’s always a pleasure to ‚work‘ with this old gearbox (a piece of engineering almost 80 years old). And it became even more noisy ‚fun’ with the long first gear with 12/19 instead of 12/24….
