My 12YO son, that I used to deluge with Jawbreaker when he was 3 or 4, was asking to hear more Jawbreaker tonight. Proud papa.

Breaker has been my favorite band since before elementary school when my Dad would spin their CD's in the car.

On balance, probably my favourite Jawbreaker song. I love their whole catalogue, but this song is every aspect of Jawbreaker rendered in miniature. Amazing.

This is soooo much more than "punk". Blake's a genius. "Read and I felt so small.Some words keep speaking. When you close the book. Drank and just about smiled.".

I have loved Jawbreaker since I bought "Unfun" on CD in the summer of 1992. I was living in Germany during my junior year of college when this album was released. This was the first song of theirs that gave me goosebumps and that I felt on a profound level. *FAN FOR LIFE*

The whole song is excellent but goddamn from around 2:45 to 5:18 if that's not how you close out a song, then I don't know what is

I saw these guys in an Oakland dive bar while on vacation during the summer of '93. It was fantastic.There was also a drive-by about 25 blocks up the street that night.

Why is it that all My favorite tracks are produced by Albini? This has been going on for over a decade!
@last8088 жыл бұрын
He's an amazing producer. If you're into music production, you should read his interviews in Tape-Op magazine.

Dave Asmann my guess is he has the same taste in music as u, rightfully so. tho fugazi scrapped an entire album (i think it was for either the argument or in on the kill taker) they recorded with him

Albini produced Spider Virus "Electric Erection". You should check it out if you havent already.
@xfins16056 жыл бұрын
Actually this wan't produced by Albini. It was written after the subsequent tour of the session, and recorded by the same engineer who did Bivouac
@ricardog.s250511 ай бұрын
Late to party, but this specific song wasn't produced by Albini, it was produced by Billy Anderson who ended being the producer of Bivouac, which is why is a little more in line with that album compared to the rest of 24 Hour Revenge Therapy, the band also re-recorded The Boat Dreams From The Hill, Boxcar, Jinx Removing and Do You Still Hate Me with him, but currently the original Albini recordings are available on both Spotify and Bandcamp as bonus tracks
