As always enjoy the channel. Quick upgrades: Have long straight paths going towards the center and back for easy headshots. 1 high blocks on the outer path to slow them even more. Dart traps could be easy to abuse here. Placing weak doors to group them up before the pit(needs testing) If it works, place a landmine behind each door for mass wave clearing.

As clever as your designs are, I really do think TFP should incorporate the old AI in addition to the new. Have some zombies that pathfind like they do right now, and have some that just go straight for you like the old days. Hordes would be a lot less exploitable if half of the zombies were unpredictable

Honestly zombies patching is to smart for its own good, and while I don't think it's bad cuz the old were exploitable in other ways, making it so we have to mix and match would be better. Would be even better imho if your redesign it so that you have some long stretches toward the center point and then back again on all 4 cardinal directions, wit the last one running into the dropper. That way, you have several "lines" of zombies you can shoot at from time to time, which allows your piercing snipers and such several hits as once regularly.

Zombies still can't spawn on player placed blocks in 1.0. Bit of a grind, but I filled out all but 25 squares of a 107x107 square with a 7x7 base and controlled where zombies could spawn for horde. It would be one of the longer viddies in production time to get done, but I'm curious what you could do with that.
@nezunskyfire2924 ай бұрын
Fantastic build mate! This made me think of something, instead of just having them run in a circle like that, you could instead make them run along a winding path that's on one side if your base/kill box, that way the zombies spending more time running in a straight line down your sight range, removing the need to aim/lead your shots.
@kylejohnson85194 ай бұрын
Keeping with the math lesson, an addition shaped base could be good for the penetrator perk, get the pathing running towards and away from you instead of laterally. It could still curl all the way around all 4 sides for all your friends

@JaWoodle Something I want to mention about people saying "this only works because you build it out of concrete," there have been some JaWoodle Park examples in the past that could only be built as seen in the video out of concrete because the spans were long enough that wood and/or cobble would collapse over the spanned distance when you were upgrading from basic blocks. I personally had that problem in (I want to say) A19 with something I was trying to replicate. It just felt like the expressed concern might not have been either expressed or understood well.

Do you have any intention to build a killing corridor, that has some kind of loot-chute? Currently I have a team of 3 players. That also want to loot our kills during horde night, so that all the loot isn't cluttering up the whole "killing area". We just started to experiment with ramps and bars. But we haven't found anything fully functional yet. An identified problem is when zombies ragdoll and fall into the chute themselves. So yeah, is this something for your park? I noticed after you opened the door 28:42, the closest zombies behavior changed as if they see the door as a potential path they need to reach. They were pausing and throwing swipes to do damage as if the concrete under them is blocking the entrance to the door. Arlene corrects herself after a second, but that taller zombie guy that was seen paused for a long while. Removing that closer pathing rung or just making sure to shut that door every time might help. Or maybe even swapping those doors with a stack of hatches. Cuz I don't think it's the opening itself that's the problem, I'm almost certain it's influenced by their programming regarding doors.

@BoredBob4 ай бұрын
I bet that you could make two potential pathways that are alternately connected with powered hatches that could be controlled by sensors which could potentially force the zombies into an endless loop where each time they passed a sensor it swapped the hatches and thus the path and just keep them running on the mouse wheel.
@davidward30914 ай бұрын
Okay.. seriously... That's genius!
@BoredBob4 ай бұрын
@@davidward3091 I imagine that there might be some technical and timing problems to work out with it but imagine the fun of just sitting back and watching them run back and forth all night. Maybe if sensing didn't work then a couple timing blocks could be used. Closest I ever came to trying something like that was having multiple pathways and hatches connected to switches that I could manually activate to use an alternate pathway if one got broken by the zombies that they didn't use until I needed a new one.
