I've just made a circle 5-6 blocks high with a path made of 1/4 blocks. It was looking like this: -_- Make a path to a middle part of this base where you will be standing and you will see them running to you, falling and trying to do this again. This can be made in a first day from a simple wood and it works.

i did a base similar to this but i was underground for my crafting area and battle area above was fine with horde night but screamers would try to dig underground im not sure if it would matter for this style with a pit but it makes me nervous i remade it with crafting area in the middle section of the 15 high tower fixed the issue i had but if love info from anyone who has had issues with digging like that

Problem i see is that on horde night the stream of zombies is very consistent. The motion sensor will stay active for too long which will keep the door shut

I played this game once like 8 years ago for 2 seconds before uninstalling after seeing the first zombie due to the game looking so bad. However with the 1.0 launch I caught my attention again and this game is doing amazing things really really love what they’ve done with it.

Because trapdoor fun lol. He's built several zombie dropper bases without one that are relatively simple so the door itself isn't necessary, per se, but a new aesthetic element is always fun.

You can't do it using two 5x3's unless you have them open and float in the middle. I'm not sure why this was changed.

You dont get XP from spikes unless its electrical engineer traps. Basically waste for resources unless your goal is to purely survive. Spikes and traps also break down fast when considering hordes.

My guess would be "different strokes for different folks." I love mining in this game. Mindlessly mining as many resources as I can. Setting goals to fill container upon container full of iron, shale, coal, nitrate, stone, wood and sand. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that would think that's incredibly boring and wouldn't understand the appeal but it is what it is.

As impressive as these bases are, I find that they make horde night stale and unfun. I like the challenge of building and trapping a base, learning its weaknesses, and trying again. Horde night should be difficult in my opinion.
