Is Star Wars Jedi Survivor TOO SIMILAR to Fallen Order?!

I think the game starts with the skills and force powers that he learned at the end of fallen order- now its the best decision and most of the game sequel like gow ragnarok force you to re aquire the same skills that u learnd from gow 4. In fallen order we started as a padawan who learns skills now in survivor we are a jedi knight and i think at the end of the game we are pretty much end up as a jedi master. The thing is disney owns star wars and will never approve a game like force unleashed(with over the top force powers) cus it wouldnt fit the sw universe that they built up.

Bro let me say it in one sentece. This game is 10x times diffrent. A lot more enemies, more open worlds, side quests, NPCS you can interact with, much bigger and complex customization, 5 stances instead of two, usage of blaster what I heard, unique boss fights from side quests, fast travels, better traversal, New Republic stuff, big challenging optional areas.

It seems like it improves on fallen order’s biggest problems: better map design and huge maps, we have npcs and shops which make the world feel so much more alive, incredible outfit customization, and even hair customization which I didn’t even think of

I truly think Star Wars Survivor is going to be a massive hit and stand out with being more connected to the High Republic with that ancient Jedi that has been brought back to life. The first game is nice but I always felt like it was missing something, this game however gives me what I think was missing. The world just feels more bigger, alive and mysterious.

Yeah the first game was great but there was nothing to do after completing the story other than play it again in new game plus. And the new game plus sucked because it didn't let you keep anything from your first playthrough other than cosmetics

I hate this complaint. This is a sequel not an entirely different franchise. They literally gave us a complete overhaul for double blade as well as 3 more stances, one with a gun. What the hell do people want? Why would they need to completely change fallen order's aspects when they aren't broke. The combat was great in fo and ir will continue to be great here. The enemies too. If you genuinely complain about this I'm not sure you even like fallen order.

I’ve personally beaten Jedi FO multiple times on multiple difficulties, currently playing my last playthrough rn. From everything I’ve seen this game heavily upgraded all the times I liked about the original, and fixed all the complaints that I had. It’s was a no brainer to pre order the deluxe edition for me.

People that complain about Jedi Survivor looks too similar to Fallen Order just wanted a different Jedi game. I see a lot of Comparisons to Jedi Force Unleashed yet, if you look at that game the sequel was pretty much a shorter carbon copy of the 1st one. All they added was a few new planets and duel wielded blades all while given less skins. Sequels should be exactly what you explained, similar to the first game but with a few new added touches and upgrades to make it slightly different. Just like the Arkham series, each game felt the same accept a few new mechanics and enhancements to combat and traversal.

@@JAWS I loved Fallen Order and can't wait for Survivor. It gave me a sort of Uncharted feeling, with the exploration and puzzle solving, it just lacked the huge action sets of Uncharted. My perfect Jedi game would be liken to Assassins Creed or Ghost of Tsushima. I feel like AC Origins would be the perfect blueprint for an amazing Jedi game. Huge open world with different planets to fast travel to and explore that feel different and have their own environments. The first story could be set years before the Skywalker saga and have a young Jedi who is uncovering the separatist plot to infiltrate the Galactic Senate and put a secret Sith (Palpatine) on the board. The Jedi order being trusting as they are could follow the Senate and banish the young Jedi master for treason and now he must try to clear his name and find evidence of this plot. I would love if they gave Sucker Punch this IP and let them fully flesh out lightsaber combat (like Tsushima) and force powers (like Infamous).

MW19 made over 1 billion dollars and sold over 30 million copies which dwarfs all of battlefields existence and they are continuing that level of success with their latest iteration. I dont deny DICE and Battlefield have had a modicum of success but they routinely drop the ball and one of the many well known reasons for that is their absolute need to reinvent the wheel with every single game.

When I first saw the game I was excited but "not" at the same time. It just didn't have that pizazz or something I was looking for. I guess maybe I was wanting a little more force unleashed. Like you really start to feel the power ramp up but not too crazy. The more that has come out though the more excited I have gotten. It still does feel just so similar. Now if they really did make cal broken like force unleashed it would probably ruin it however they could make another game or a new force unleashed and just go way over the top with it. I think one of the biggest things is the mobility. We have seen jedi jump crazy high and sprint faster than speeders. I think a lot of people would have fun in a game like that. Still jedi fallen order is my all time favorite game.

I’ve beaten this game three times fully (currently on my fourth playthrough as we speak), and this is still one of my favorite if not my most favorite SW game maybe only behind SW BF2 (remake) if that. Other than the lack of consistent dismemberment, having no fast travel, and the lack of NPCs/more lived in worlds it’s definitely a favorite of mine. Luckily for me and for other fans of the game, Jedi: Survivor seems to be improving on things we already loved, and including things we complained about the lack there of. So with Al that being said, it didn’t take much convincing for me to pre order the deluxe edition after the first gameplay trailer (it also didn’t hurt that I got the deluxe edition for only 38 bucks !).

Honestly the game seems to be exceeding expectations (mine anyway) not sure how I feel about side quests Hopefully they are fun as opposed instead of being padding. The default look for Cal is is great so I don't care about the customization. It's more of what was in the first game but refined the Arkham city to it's Arkham Asylum. People will aways complain for the sake of it. I'm seeing some of the dumbest comments coming from blatant ignorance. Seriously some idiot said Respawn advertised this game as an RPG (which they didn't) "no dismemberment no buy" then proceeds to compliment TFU which didn't have dismemberment until the sequel😂. I can go on but I'll stop here

i dont understand why some people feel like a sequel should be different? sure improve and refine on what made the first one so great, i think everything they have added to this 2nd one and expanded upon is a bonus because as long as the story is cool and the characters are written well, the game could be copy and paste from the first one and i would be okay with that, im really looking forward to this when it comes out.

With how this one is going I'm now hoping the 3rd game really goes ham and gives us a way to utilize force speed in combat haha. We don't gotta move like the flash yanno I just want some form of force speed like in Jedi Academy. It could work similar to the dual wield and double blade where you're basically just doing really fast attacks but the critical damage hits gets taken out to balance for how fast you'll be.

They took everything that was great about Fallen order and just made it better. This is why I have a problem with this kind of ideology. People bitching whine moan and complain about games being the same this and that then the developer changes it an the same Gamers get mad and bitch and moan because now it's not the same. The only thing wrong with Jedi Survivor is the performance mode is severely broken on PS5 series X and PC along with other issues.. other than that is an absolute superb game. I'm playing it on PS5 and I can tell you I am absolutely dreading beating it because it's so good I do not want it to be over. I will say I'm disappointed because it was told that you would visit some of the planets from Fallen order and it would be more vast planetary wise and to be honest it's really not. But it is definitely much much much bigger per planet.

Idk why people are disappointed. You don't change what isn't broke. Why would they change animations that are fine. Plus on double blade, they completely rehauled it. They also added a slow meter and mind tricks. Not only that but you can have a gun too. Idk about opponents since we haven't seen much of it yet

But the maps i still have doubt cause bigger doesnt mean better like in new assassins creed they are big but its completly empty and bloated. Also even the first game felt clunky to me like when you block your character bugs for abit. I gotta try it tho so i can judge better . And one of my biggest disapointment was that there arent that many lightsaber duells but tbh at that time line its hard to bring in sith except maybe more Inquisitors. Am not too excited but maybe once i play it it will be alot of fun
