Thanks! Great job! These videos take me back to a much more innocent and enjoyable time in life. I miss my Jax (Avondale/ Ortega Forrest). I have great memories that will last me forever.

The "Dinsmore Dairy Farm".

Oh I can tell you the short history of nearly everything about Dinsmore: It was a magnificent Longleaf Pine Ecosystem coinciding with what is now the Trout River tributary that included the bobwhite, panthers and the black wolf for thousands of years. A path was cut and called the Kings Highway, followed by a railroad. The pine was cut and not replanted. The land was sold on the cheap. Dairies came in. UPS came too. Eventually, if you didn't donate your dairy to a church, the dairy was sold to developers and subdivided into neighborhoods. It's now a rich mixture of Marietta and Sherwood Forest.

Hey George, I hope things are good in San Diego. I have a Jax question: I was cleaning my mom’s house and she had a postcard from 1920 from Jax. It was a picture of “water work park”. Any idea what that was or where that was?

There was a park around the waterworks near 1st and Hogan streets. Here are some details I found: www.metrojacksonville.com/article/2009-may-urban-parks-waterworks-park
