My Dad was killed in a plane crash (military) when I was 6 years old (I'm 65 now) and my mother never remarried. She had a picture of my Dad on her nightstand all my life. She passed away recently as I whispered to her that she would soon be reunited with her precious husband, the love of her life. Her mom was my eight grade homeroom teacher and also taught photography! She was an absolute gem, i love this song and never knew it was sung by her daughter until i saw this video. Ms. Miskanic is a beautiful lady inside out, it really made me emotional watching this video! I doubt she remembers but im really thankful to her, she was like a second mother to kids in school. I don't think I am capable enough to trust anyone to share my lifetime with, and I have very serious trust issues too, I believe in relationship you also need trust to work it out, and it's something I am not capable of giving :((( Edit: however, if I ever did, I will definitely try my best to give the best family for my kids, I just hope my partner can do the same as he would have to be doing the most if we were to focus on the song 😭😭😭

I had a family but it was more like a war zone, with little love to be found. I had a whole bunch of therapy before meeting a man that this song describes perfectly. Now we have two cute kids (third on the way) and it’s my biggest joy in life to show these little human beings what love, kindness and patience feels like, it’s all they know and it’s beautiful getting to experience the innocence of childhood through them. Very healing experience, you can have that too.
