But it's that that issue for majority BM that marry inter-racially. That's why more BW do need to be open to relationships with GOOD men even if they are not black. Otherwise BW are narrowing their options and that's just stupid.

The reality is many black celebrities stated a black woman was there when they had nothing issue is many just choose not to share their wealth with black women because of what is socially acceptable ....sad reality is the grass isn't always greener and many have met their demise or constant problems based on being with anotherrace when thinking it was better: OJ, Don Cornelius, Kobe(he never divorced Vanessa cuz she sd she would leave him with nothing), Dr Dre, Kevin Hart, guy from CNN etc etc etc

It’s just hurtful to see successful black men continue to date outside of their race and marry “other”, when there are so many unwed bw out here that can give you love as well. They may not consciously think white is “better”, but there is often a subconscious level of insecurity about their blackness. Many of them want mixed children and feel better knowing their kids will have “good hair”. It’s sad.

Race is only one component of why people fall in love and marry. Unless you all believe in arranged marriages without love, how can you expect people not marry from their surroundings? Sorry but my son is marrying a white woman and as his mother I just want him happy. He is not insecure about who he is… we are African and very proud to be and she embraces our culture. I’m sure it is nice to believe that there’s something wrong with the men who marry outside their race but it is inaccurate and just a generalization.

As a dark skinned woman, I’m raising my biracial niece. I’ve had her since 10 months old. When it came down to dolls, I would let her choose. She would choose from the darkest with cozily hair to white. She identifies as black, her choice. But I also teacher to appreciate both sides of her heritage. Love yourself, but never feel more than or less than the next. We don’t choose our parents. Treat people with respect. But demand you get the same in return. By the way she’s 10 now.

One of my symptoms was suicidal ideations followed by terrible brain fog. I’m fortunate to have an older sister who I was able to talk to and she recommended I get my levels drawn. As soon as a brotha makes it 9 times out of 10 he's gonna choose anything but a black woman. We come in all shades and sizes....a brotha has options with black women... this shit is old... Instead of always marrying somebody you have to school about who you are and your heritage and history...marry somebody that already knows.... ijs

Sis, I will say that in my experience in dating outside if my race the men always expected me to throw my black culture away or put it on the back burner and instead focus on the things they like and do. And I kept it moving 😂 It did make me think that men that only date outside of their own race are encouraged to do so by their mates. Just like the Get Out movie...

The issue with black men like Jay Ellis, is they continue to pander to black women and push a “black love” narrative that they don’t even believe in themselves. Let’s not get willfully obtuse here, if it was a black woman who was secretly married to a non-black man, but pandered to black men, they would be upset. A perfect example of this is Jody from Queen and Slim.

It is sad, and disappointing to me when I hear "black people, and especially black men" state to "love who you love, it doesn't matter who you date, or marry" all other race's understand how important it is to value your race. By valuing your race that means we need to; love, and respect one another, marry one another, and procreate in order to save our race. It is not about just choosing to date, or marry outside your race, the issue is a lot deeper than that, and people of other races get it! Black people are always trying to please others, and be accepted. We need to learn to be proud of who we are. Another issue is that we don't love ourselves, which is the reason why, so many "black men" would prefer to have mixed children, because they're not proud of the way they look. Black women support "black men" dating, and marrying out of their race, but just like the women on the panel, there are way too many single black women who are waiting to get married! The majority of men in other races date & marry women in their race, so these other women have an abundance of men to choose from. Black women "mainly" need to value themselves more (look at the bigger picture) and stop allowing themselves to be disrespected!

I can't believe it took Claudia of all people to call the real deal on interracial relationships marriages vs the politically correct response. Thanks Claudia! And we do know that many people in the business do it bcuz they DO think it's better.

Let's be honest. We need to stop giving our black men a pass on choosing "others" as mates/wives when they become successful. We are used as stepping stones, stairs, ladders, etc when they are getting careers established. Protecting her or protecting his career??? In the words of Kevin Hart, "Say it with your chest"! In many cases like this, this is nothing but a slave mentality that whiter/brighter is better or more desirable. I know my history and not giving these type of men a pass. PERIOD!!!!!! I absolutely agree with Claudia, that if its happenstance and not because you think it's better, than absolutely. Again, say it with your chest!!!!.
