fr fr. at the end of the day, the songs themselves were always going to be a deciding factor in who won- switch was everyone's 4th-5th favourite song, supercharger grew on ppl but it was still people's second or third favourite song with not many popular trainees performing. en garde is the most polarising rank bc the song bangs so hard... but fanservice-y songs are always going to be the favourites in competitions like these. it was between smn and over me and everyone knew it, and the sexy concept pretty much always does best in the live audience voting.

When he said he wasn't surprised because he saw people weren't cheering for him as much when he was on stage, it was just so sad. Like all the boys in that room were stunned. I am tellling you, Boys Planet is really exhausting me these days. I always see people comparing Wang Zihao to Huening Bahiyyih, saying that if he debuts it would be as unexpected as here debut because they both get no screen time. Obviously I would love to see that again because we all love seeing Mnet's plans fail and because Zihao is a very good dancer. BUT as a Hiyyihlight who was there during the aftermath of the finale, I can tell you that the suprise debut is only half of Hiyyih's story. The hate she got afterwards, people saying that she was talentless and didn't deserve to debut, that she deserved it the least out of everyone in the finale. I never want to see that again. None of the trainees deserves to suffer like that after working hard and going through the hell which is a Mnet survial show. And this kind of hate is something I see targeted at Kim Gyuvin these days. It's the exact same but instead of Nepotism it's Pretty Privileges. And it makes me so sick. Sure, no one has to think that Kim Gyuvin performed the strongest in "En Garde". But some people can't express their opinion in a way that is not straight up hateful. Sorry, I just had to rant. No one deserves to go through was Bahiyyih went through. And Jay deservs better than to perform in front of an audiance with people who hate him. Another trainee who can be compared to Hiyyih too well. Why does everything have to happen again and again?

I'm so glad they included that scene. I hate the editing that just leaves everyone's feelings up in the air and for speculation. They were both very mature in expressing their feelings and validating each other's point of view. It was an excellent big brother moment and a good lesson. I think it's really important to show the audience this conversation. I really like seeing this side of Jiwoong too, I think he really suites being the oldest/leader because he can be silly and allow himself to be poked fun at, but he is also very mature and empathetic.

My Opinions on the “Artist Battle” = First Place : “Over Me” - Trainee #1 : Jay This is the best song and even though all performances where mid, Jay stood out the most with his vocals and didn’t deserve last place; so I’m happy he still got the benefit. Second Place : “Say My Name” - Trainee #1 : Matthew Honestly- kinda iconic of Matthew to be so vocal about not wanting this part and still SLAYING THE ABSOLUTE FUCK OUT OF IT! Like, my eyes where ONLY on him for the ENTIRE TIME; sure it could’ve been cuz of the drama… but I still think he did the best Third Place : “En Garde” - Trainee #1 : Hui Similar case to Jay, I was so shocked by Hoe Taek’s vocals and I think he’s a little underrated. I know he poured his heart and soul into the performance, and sure; Gunwook definitely had the most impact in the dance but I got sick of it since I’ve seen it so many times… Fourth Place : “Supercharger” - Trainee #1 : Haruto C’mon! It’s the ONLY option… but honestly, Haruto went through so much and for a performance filled with 2 babies, 3 bottoms and a token straight; they kinda did the damn thing… Fifth Place : “Switch” - Trainee #1 : Park Hanbin This performance was just so bland and I was super surprised since it seemed like this group was STACKED (I mean- you got Keita, PHanBin, Tae Rae, Jong Woo, Kamden) so that’s why it’s last…

I'm honestly so scared for Hui. He has the one factor that most trainees don't have - ton of experiences producing amazing songs. The line-up might have fuck ton of visuals, vocalists and dancers. I have a few different opinions about the ranking. First, I'm fairly certain Chen Kuanlui joins the trainees you put as certainly eliminated because I just don't see him making it, if you look at the score for the previous round, the 250 000 benefit Phanbin got only made him rise above Ricky so... one place. Is one place enough to really change things? Next Taerae, I'm 99.99% sure he didn't fall, he's a lot of people favourite and if you see the live audience, his name is everywhere, I think he can only rise. What's interesting is that Kim Gyuvin was shown 16 and you still put him 7, I think them leaking his fall will make him rise to 12-13 max. I think he fell for a reason, he's a filler vote and that means getting back up is harder then that. I would switch Gyuvin and Taerae, Jay and Jun Hyeon maybe and I think Haruto is lower, Shanbin is still first. And I think ZIhao and Haruto are the ones that will make it but barely, Jeonghyeon became really popular in SK so if Ifans don't have him below 25, he could make it. I think Jongwoo is gone with last episode and Woongi boy, Seunghwan and Kamden are the biggest idk for me. Other then that I'm so happy for Phanbin, he went down one place last episode at 14th and I felt like it was too close to 18th for comfort. I don't get how he's not in the Top 9 but somehow, I feel like him getting in it now would only make me sadder if he doesn't get in, in the final lineup.

People need to recognize Wang Zi Hao existance rn. I cannot blame you guys for not putting him on your top picks obv bc you don't know him well bc of mnet editing. He got the least amount of screen time in any possibly way of editing. But trust me he is the 'Dark Horse' in this show. He shine only through only perf. & people can see that. His perf. didn't lie & that is a 100% pure talent if you ask me. Plus, That's why his indv fancams got some of the highest views out of all. You know why? Bc of his impact got people is curious about this mysterious boy. This is the same person that YougJun the Star Master had dare him to go on Street Man fighter show & this is the boy that PGunwook & Keita admire. He has no drama, multi talented (the best dancer among trainees) , humble, always smilling, hardworking by taking dance class regularly on weekends, and has a very friendly & bubbly personality. So mnet hate that. Mark my words, even if he cant debut in the final idol lineup, he can be more succsessful in the future. Opinions on this episode (very long) : - Over Me performance was mid tbh, it didn't meet my expectations as the "main event" but the song slaps anyways - Jay carried the song with his vocals no matter what the haters said and was absolutely ROBBED, Zhang Hao too with his center position and that dance break 🤯 - I don't think Jiwoong fits that much in Say My Name (he looked like a filler to me but not awkward while performing though), it just makes me upset he got to stay in SMN over Seo Won, Woongki or Taerae who fit the song much better imo - SMN was literally made for Seungeon, idc what y'all say (his little backpack omg) - Park Hanbin deserves to be in Bep1er, he's an all-rounder with leadership, I can see him becoming the "dark horse" of this season - Solji is the best master of Boys Planet (not creepy and not too harsh with the trainees) For the rankings, I have a few predictions : - Sung Hanbin will stay 1st, maybe a smaller gap with the 2nd - Zhang Hao will also stay 2nd, with the benefit and his loyal fanbase growing, I can see him maintaining his rank - Gyuvin will be out of the Top 9, he indeed dropped to 16th during the interim check but he would eventually rise a little bit (because his fans who dropped him will revote for him) but he will not return to the Top 9 - Ricky will enter the Top 9 I think (maybe 8th or 9th ?), the interim check doesn't seem to have affected his voters (at least in his international fanbase) - Gunwook and Taerae will also stay in the Top 9, I'm less confident for Gunwook but Taerae has a solid Korean fanbase I think so he'll stay in Top 9 - Half of the G group is going to be eliminated this time (Zihao, Kamden and Haruto are in a dangerous position currently) - Hui will not return in the Top 9 and will be in 14th/15th place - I'm ABSOLUTELY WORRIED about Seunghwan, he's constantly dropping in ranks and might get eliminated this time Thank you for reading this :)

My opinions on this mission Honestly compared to previous seasons, none of them really had me floored so I was disappointed, but I will rate it anyways Switch: probably the worst for me, I don’t think the arcade concept fit the vibe of the song, I felt it should be a little more hip. The green and pink colors don’t really mix, the long hair from shuaibo was probably the biggest wtf, the dancing could’ve been bigger, like it wasn’t really expressive like in the chorus specifically. Overall not good En garde: same here, I don’t think military fight for your life was the concept I had in mind, I felt it should be more upbeat, lighthearted, energetic, which is how I felt about the performance as well. I felt the focused more on looking strong, hard, and cool rather than energetic and sharp, like in the chorus as welll, the violin move was sharper in the demo and I can’t help but point it out because it really bugged me, however I just say Hiroto surprised me, and the vocals from hui and seunghwan really sold this song from me. It is definitely one of the ones I’ll be streaming more Supercharger: I felt this was the stage to look hard and cool. You got this trap/hip hop, American type beat, I felt like this is the one to wear all black, not military but definitely more hip hop. These outfits are giving outback biker gang which was a real miss for me. And whoever gave Haruto those pants needs to be fired. For the performance, I wanted it to be more powerful, when the beat dropped i didn’t get a lot of impact from it. It’s like seeing a scrawny guy flex compared to a buff guy, you’d feel the impact from the bigger guy more and I think that can apply here. but I don’t think it was their fault they did their best Despite the situation and I could feel that. Still I think there were better trainees for this song and if they were on here it could definitely be one of the more highlights. That being said, it was still enjoyable(also the flames at the end were a REALLY good choice. Say my name: I’m quite torn about this one. At first I knew I was gonna count this song out because it was so generic with members I couldn’t see executing the concept well but after watching it, it’s grown on me just a little. The dancing was really nice and quirky and the already established fan chant was quite clever. I must say Seungeon and Yujin are in their element. The boy concept really suits them well and the little backpack and 07 on their backs was really good design choices. Matthew was also really good here. His smile can bring world peace. Hanbin was nice, he did his part well but I felt it would’ve been better seeing him on another song. And jiwoong, was a no for me and I know I’m gonna get hate for this but idc. Let me explain tho. Just because you do something, doesn’t make you automatically make you good at it and all the people saying jiwoong fit this concept well, did we watch the same stage, or are you just biased? I saw it and I didn’t really get any emotions from him, he wasnt really emotive. And let me put it like this, some people smile and some people make you smile from their smile. I don’t want to compare them to idols but Im going to use this to make a point. Think of twice in their early days like with cheer up or ooh-ahh, you get a feeling of refreshment along with the cuteness because seeing them so happy and expressive makes you want to be as well. And I’m repeating myself here but it’s important to mention why having the right people to execute concepts is so important, because it just it just makes sense and really adds to the essence of a performance rather than having to cope with it. In short I think having jiwoong here took away from the performance, also a 25 year old doing a high school, nostalgic, graduation type performance doesn’t really sit well with me, he’s a man, clearly tho I will say hanbin did it well. and I do think it was a good performance and that everyone else really gave that feeling of refreshment but I was just going back and forth between it was all Over me: And this performance put into perspective, everything I’ve been saying about right people right concepts. Zhang hao’s presence, Ricky’s visual, Jay’s voice and adlibs(my god he was perfect for this American rnb type song), jeonghyun being the only k trainee here brought a unique vibe that fit as well, and kuan jui suited the song as well. If you saw Takuto or Ollie doing this song, it would feel off and you know it would which is why I keep saying you can’t just have anybody anywhere and say you love it no matter what. It was definitely the best for me and I think they made the best decisions out of them all, the red ropes with the white shirts was a touch I really admired but mostly that they didn’t really do anything too sexy to sell the concept. It really showed you don’t need to flash your abs or hump the floor or body roll to get the concept across and I really liked that. You don’t need to sell sex to sell sexy. The only thing I’d say bad about this song is that compared to open or u got it, i don’t really see it as powerful or one I’d talk about after the show ends but still it was very very enjoyable.(also Mnet aggressively editing out Jay’s face for his high note when they wouldn’t anyone else is absolutely criminal and I need more people to notice this) And so my ranking stage wise: 5.switch 4.En garde 3.Super charger 2.Say my name(because I’d watch it more) 1.Over me And as a song: 5.say my name 4.switch 3.supercharger(tho I stream it the most) 2.over me 1.En garde My final thoughts: idk I just feel like everyone has lost their care for the music now and I find that the most disappointing Because I think that’s the most important part when making songs. I hope that can change soon. Here’s an honest perspective from someone who simply watches the show & doesn’t use twitter: 1) Fans give too much attention to haters. 2) Fans get easily swept up by everything. For example there’s a “Jay was robbed” train that people jumped on. It’s giving mixed signals bc it’s focusing on and adding to the negativity. Some fans are even taking this opportunity to hate or undermine the other trainees. Imagine if instead people had focused on showing support instead of being mad that he got the lowest score (which really didn’t matter bc it’s only the opinion of a few hundred people in the audience? Let the next elimination results prove to Jay that he has ppl rooting for him by voting him). Imagine if fans instead started and jumped on a “we love you Jay” train or something. It could’ve been light, supportive, and positive, & it would’ve 100% garnered more support for Jay.

Gyuvin might have a shot for the top 9 when it comes to one pick, but I think it would be hard to rise back up now when half the voting period already happened before his interim ranking was revealed. And Taerae is super popular among Koreans so I don't think he's dropping out.

I'm not ready to let SEOWON go TT TT At this point it's not about how well they performed, it's about who has a bigger fandom. Cause I don't believe that Gyuvin ranked first just because of how great he performed. I'm sorry, I love Gyuvin, but he wasn't it. Hui, Seunghwan and Gunwook were far greater. And also you'd be dumb if you believe that Jay ranked last because he performed terrible cause he DID NOT! Idk why but korean as well as many international bp stans hate him. The hate he receives can't be justified no matter what. The cheers drowned when it was his turn. Why? Cause they were there to hate on him. This is why I liked when the judges were the one who decided the winner/ winner team. Putting everything on the fans was not a good move imo.
