what's funny is that the first voicemail recording was the best

Mark said this was the worst audio Sundance has ever had in their festival to this day. Love this short.

As someone who has suffered from and anxiety from early childhood, I related to this 100%! Something as simple as leaving a simple recording like this or simply saying “here” and raising your hand in class when your name is being called out for attendance, can be exactly like this. Overthinking can cause real damage emotionally. I’ve had days when because of my overthinking, I wouldn’t leave my room. I’d just sleep so that I could shut it off. Loved the video!

Ericka Rivas I started to go to a therapist, it helped out so much. I am way better now, the anxiety isn’t completely gone. There are days where I begin to feel like this again, but it isn’t an everyday thing anymore. Things do get better ☺️

I love Mark Duplass, and his story is a great inspiration and motivator for me personally. However, one thing that is often overlooked is the fact that he's an amazing actor. If he was not a good actor, and simply a self-motivated filmmaker with subpar acting skills, I doubt he would have gotten to where he is today.

Was referred to watch this video by another KZbin creator. What a prime example of “it’s not what you have, it’s what you do with it”. Also, I spent 2 hours trying to record the perfect voicemail message last night and eventually threw my hands in the air, said “fuck this shit” and left it to the stock message lmao.
