No ‘ it is Sapo, these are the main Kla languages ( Grebo , Bassa, and Krahn). All called Kru, including the actual Kru dialect( The Kroos), includes 22 sub dialects, Most in Sinoe Alone. If you understand the Core, you will understand all of the KLAOs including the Weebo, and Bete of Cote d’ voire as well as the Igbo of Nigeria. It is a Klao- Kra language. (Tarjuzohn, Sapo, Grebo, Krahn ). I speak Butaw/Jalloh. But I understand all because My grandmother was Sapo and my other grandmother spoke Tarjuzohn Kru.

Nope, Kru it is not the name of the dialect Klao is. What you call grebo in Liberia is called Kru in the Ivory Coast. It was the ductch that ruly classified this particular language which is made out of several dialects as kru because they are sea-fearing people. Kru means Crew of the ship.

They are the same language. What you call kru is actually klao dialect in the kwa language. European were the ones who called all the dialect kru. The kwa language dialects are jlepo (klepo), bassa krahn, sapo, bete, wee, klao. The extent all the way from nigeria, mali, Cameron, kongo, all the way to Gambia.

@@vivians5341 yes.. we do not call ourselves Kru..only when we speak English. We called ourselves Klao- kra- Kwa or Kla when speaking in indigenous tongue.

@@lovellesokan9107 this is not Sapo because this is my village. And many of these people are related to me including Nagbe sloh himself. This is Klipo and they actually say it at one point. He said we are the Klipo clan (people).
