When j-rod was asked about his strategy. He said get him dog s*** tired and submit him at the end. Seems like a very similar strategy to his brother. I'm not knocking on the guys I think they're very tough competitors but they rarely win in a definite and dominant fashion. And you wouldn't expect them to win consistently against guys who grew up on the mats. It is only fair to say that it might be because comparatively to other high level grapplers they are relatively new to jiujitsu and just have a lesser depth in understanding technique. Despite the fact that they've been able to do tremendous leaps in jiujitsu mostly due to Danaher. A good example is when J rod went against Mica galvao j-rod who has a top heavy continuous pressure style, but against someone Who has fantastic jiujitsu technically and can handle top pressure he was completely nullified. But hell at least it makes for a good show.Just my opinion

This is fair. I would like to see them get submissions early into the match, moving forward. But like you said, they are going against the top guys in the sport so it's just not that simple. Good on them though

Idk what you’re talking about. Mica Galvao is the best grappler in his weight class and one of the best p4p. Both of them are Uber talented. He had a great match with mica and didn’t look outclassed by any means

@@ubermensch9688 I'm just expressing what I think is the reason for the disparity in levels at world-level competition. Mica was just an example, plus I didn't say he was outclassed I just said that his jiujitsu is superior and more technically sound.

Jay never trained under danaher. Also both brothers have been smashing high level competition regularly. Only really falling against the very top guys at their weight class.
