Hello Aman, I had my first lesson yesterday, and my instructor asked about the time I’ve booked for my driving test, which is at 11:01. He suggested that I switch to an 8:00 AM slot, explaining that due to heavier morning traffic, the examiner would likely take me through fewer areas, making it easier to familiarize myself with the routes. Is this true?

For clarification of something Amin said at the start, there is no such thing as an International Driving License. It is an International Driving Permit, and it is an adjucnt to the national driving licence, presumably an Indian licence. In this case it effectively extend the licence to allow driving in the UK. The International Permit is not valid unless accompanied by a valid licence from the country of origin.

He definitely could do with a few more lessons to really understand where he approaches situations and deal with them probably and not be over-cautious, which did happen in a couple of areas into the drive, so he really needs to gain a little more confidence in future lessons.
