We are absolutely still missing a key piece to this, there is no way someone leaves a supposed safe place with "friends" where he was offered a lift home and decides to walk 11 hours back to his own accommodation. Its doesnt make any sense. I feel we will never find out either. The Spanish police are happy to say this is an accident, they dont want to disturb the peace with the drug dealers who they obviously get bribed by and the government doesnt want the tourist market to drop off. It absolutely stinks of a cover up even if what they say is true and he fell by accident, they dont want the entire story to be revealed.

They are also able to tell the difference between decomposing wildlife and 839 human remains. detectable decomposition smell begins within 24-48 hours as putrefaction sets in and intensifies any time between 4-10 days, depending on the conditions. So this dose mean jays body was never there. The dogs would off picked up his scent from day one within 24 to 72 hours. Jay would’ve been found by these train dogs so that means his body was never there. It's interesting that you said about him being put there between 2am onwards......there is video footage on Joseph Morris Channel (I don't usually mention other channels) but this is really compelling. It's from a British guy who was in Masca and he was woken up at 2:30 am by all the animals in the village going crazy, goats bleating, dogs howling like mad, he'd never heard it before and said something was happening in or around the village in the middle of the night. It gave me goosebumps listening to it. It is certainly very strange and makes you wonder, was this anything to do with Jay........

I was so shocked when I heard about his body been found, especially for his parents and family… RIP Jay, ❤ But the more I hear about locations of his body, with the clothes next to it and a finger print been taken from a 4 week old corpse, also where the last ping from his phone, why wasn’t this area searched a lot more, I’m just shocked. Down the rapids channel done a video early in the morning 3AM or something and he said all he could hear was dogs barking in the mountains that woke him up. When the Spanish cops give up searching a lot of KZbinrs said there was no cops around and the place was quiet, so I don't know when they were supposed to be searching 🤷

I truly believe he was put there after the fact. There’s no way a body in that heat and vegetation would be in any state after 4 weeks. It would start to deteriorate in a few days. I think he was thrown down there to make it look like he had a ‘fall’ as apparently he had multiple injuries which again I can’t see how they could see that on a body that’s been there 4 weeks. I had the same thought about the fingerprints being used for ID. It's usually dental records in this situation. I was expecting that or DNA if he'd been there for 4 weeks. His fingerprints were on file because we know he'd been involved in bad things before. And what on earth was he doing that far from the road? Too much doesn't add up.

It would still be possible to obtain fingerprints even after the length of time stated. Where he was found was pretty sheltered from the elements, the temperatures were not extreme and he was away from direct sunlight. He may also not have died immediately so there are several factors that may have meant that his fingertips were preserved, we also don’t know the position of his hands and whether they were protected, his hands may have been curled up into a fist for example which protects the fingers. The statement you refer to is too generalised and appears to describe decomposition in extreme weather conditions which isn’t the case here. 🙏🏼

The fella that came from the UK to search that had the row with the Slater family about alitte bit of funds for the trip..he left because of it in fact..said he had probably walked by his body 5-6 times..he couldn't believe he had missed it... I don't know how else to say this..but in that close proximity wouldn't one smell a decomposing body that had been there for weeks by that time?? Yes?? He has scheduled flights for today wed..but of course won't be returning!! And the issue with his clothes beside him .I read an article by the mirror a that had highlighted in Red to prompt to get to the story: Jay Slater's body found a long side his clothes; when you prompt to read the article it gives you a 404 error message.. article not found!! And of course the fingerprints and finding his body the exact day the team from the Netherlands comes!! These are just obvious.. what else has been overlooked?? I feel this case has garnered this attention because of others lost there that need direct attention!!

I came to the same conclusion immediately that the body was dumped there later...who by and how is now another question unanswered and likely never will be...This event is very similar to the Nicola Bulley event...she just disappeared and the water where she was seen last was searched...and her body turned up later...about a month or so later if I remember correctly...an independent diver found an image and authority refused to check...and so many diving people etc expressed the opinion she would have been found within a day due to the speed and location of the river if she had indeed entered the river.

I know this is a bit farfetched. The police broadcast their decision to call off the search. They then went and found Jay's body in the weeks after. Only then are we told that the search wasn't stopped, they just didn't want other people to be the area. Maybe they were told to announce the end of the search to leave the area clear of possible witnesses so that Jay could be disposed of in the area where his phone was chucked.

The Spanish police called of their search because they werent trained in that area to tackle that terrain, after they found no sign of him, the search still continued but by the Spanish Guardia Civil & the Netherlands group, also local volunteers,

His mum has asked to see him one last time which I presume she did. And yesterday on youtube someone recorded the night before jay was found. This bloke was woken middle of the night due to dogs' barkin and goats .making lots of noise. And lights in the area jay was found. The next day jay was found.

The guide told us that we were travelling through the seasons. So where it was summer on the ground, as we travelled higher, it was amazing to go through autumn, where all the trees were losing their leaves etc & then reaching winter at the very top, where we were above the clouds & it was thick snow.

It doesn't make sense to me that, even if he was down a ravine, the cadaver dogs didn't pick up a scent. I am sceptic sometimes about humans, but animals don't make mistakes. He was very formiluar with it i believe having lived there.. and he indicated that with great care it could be hiked in the summer!
