The Spanish Police are probably investigating what the family and family friends are up to and probably keeping an open mind on where the missing person is and who is actually involved. The fact that the police may suspect that those close to Jay may be involved in his disappearance, is probably what is annoying them. Also, when you are in another country, you need to understand that their police may do things differently to what happens in the UK and that needs to be respected. Also, to criticize the Spanish Police for not communicating to them in English, is stupid as they need to remember that they are in a foreign country not back in the UK, where Spanish is the main language and English is not widely spoken. That is also the consequence of getting lost overseas.

No criticism is acceptable, because if the searchers didn't walk through that terrain, and only focused in a specific area, that's still not good enough for his family. The UK is very critical of Spain, yet they couldn't find Nicola in that water, and she was later found just a few hundred feet or so away. They have no room to criticize. Nicola was in a smaller area, and yet they missed her. Look at the vast difference where Jay may have been walking. There's no comparison.

The Spanish Police and the Civil Guard have nothing to envy the British police. They are making an enormous effort in the search for that young man. Given the very difficult characteristics of the area, it is like looking for a needle in a haystack. If he accidentally disappeared twelve days ago, it is very unlikely (if not impossible) that he will be found alive. His body will appear in any remote place. He probably fell off the cliff. But other non-accidental hypotheses cannot be ruled out either. But the Civil Guard is surely investigating other possible causes of the disappearance.

The photo at 7.30 he seemed fine and according to the investigator Mark Williams Thomas he phoned friends from there that morning too. Could it be that they made him feel uncomfortable or could it be he stole from them, or could it be he was freaking out coming down as he was in strange place that’s why they shouldn’t have been allowed to leave I think they could have cleared up some things. Lucy actually found them from his Snapchat location and checking the pic against the buildings I reckon if you had the location there isn’t much around there so would be easy to find without her the two men wouldn’t have been questioned and she even said the British police need to talk to them. I think maybe they had been using drugs he and Lucy but that’s it not a drug dealing ring or anything.

If you've lost all contact with the outside world, just head towards the sea in any direction and you'll find someone. Today, his other friend Brad mentioned that they spoke on the phone, joking around, and he wasn't concerned until they realized how far Jay was. Brad suggested that Jay take a taxi. Someone else called Jay and cut off the call. Jay even told Brad he would call him back. The entire story, timeline, battery life, and Jay's desperation for water (or lack thereof) just don't add up. If Lucy spoke with him at 8:30 and then his battery died, when did Brad speak with Jay? At 8:15? Brad said Jay was already walking as he could hear him sliding the stones. Why didn't I hear what time Brad spoke with Jay during the interview? Is that called crime journalism, interviewing Brad without such details? You don't need to be an investigator to see that something doesn't add up here. Also, I've traveled to Tenerife numerous times and even worked on that strip near Papagayo years ago. The crime is organized there, and police ride around in circles every night without stopping dealers or prostitutes. If you still don't understand why, then you're daft. Now, we are presented with a narrative suggesting Jay definitely went off the road, implying that he is no longer alive. He could have been kidnapped, with the underworld involved, and the official investigation might hit a wall at some point. Unofficially, in the underworld, who knows what is happening, and the police definitely won't be reporting on that, even if they knew. So, get on with your lives, folks.
