From watching this interview, you wouldn't think that this man is one of the best to ever do it. His psychology, pace and in ring story telling is absolutely riveting. His journey is quite understated for how good he is. Jay White vs Kota Ibushi at wrestle kingdom was ABSOLUTELY awesome.

Man, as an aussie who's spent most of his life in NZ this guy makes me so damn proud, he's a massive star in the wrestling scene and it's so exciting to follow his journey. It's so inspirational when you're on such a remote country to see him become successful in the wider world, gives me hope.

Awesome. Jay is a talented dude. I remember 1st seeing him in ROH, and being impressed at the match he had with Jay Briscoe, but he really drove home how talented he was when he had his match against Will Ospreay in the Hammerstein Ballroom for Final Battle, I believe. That match was crazy. He done some amazing things since, and came into his own as a top heel for NJPW. Glad to see him find so much success.

Love Jay's story. It's nothing as glamorous as his, but I left retail after over twenty years with NO solid backup, a house payment/bills & family to support, & no prior experience other than retail management. I was DONE. My wife believed in me & I knew I could do SO much better. I had taught myself how to repair old video game consoles in my spare time & that came into play during a job interview for a company. Now I have an awesome job that pays me what I'm worth & literally INVESTS in me. I've gotten to travel, experience so many new things, & have a certification with HP. The last retail job I had, I was TWELVE years in. It felt INSANE to just quit. I did put my two weeks in, but that was my window to find a new job. And I couldn't have found a better one for me. I'm so happy now. There comes a time when you have to bet on yourself.

Love this guy, He is the best heel in-ring worker, because when he works on a body part he works on it from bell to bell and keeps going back to it when he wants to gain advantage over his opponent, Brilliant wrestler, and the promo he cut on impact, saying "so many fans love bullet club and are even mimicking it" which he was referring to the Elite, that was refreshing, and I might have got the exact words of the promo wrong cause I'm paraphrasing, but I'm very much correct on the meaning of the promo.

Great interview. I feel where Jay was coming from about ppl knowing the dirt sheet reports and letting dictate their experience, as a wrestling nerd myself, I do listening plenty of wrestling content daily and it does taint the experience knowing backstage info and discrepancies that may occur outside of the in characteror ring work, but the news is everywhere nowadays. And I don't propose avoid, because I love it, I like knowing about the behind the scene info, I do for the movies and series I like to. So it's hard to dispend belief when it doesn't go the way previously predicted, but it's also satisfying when it does. So idk I'm kinda between a rock and hard place, because it could be maybe more of gratifying experience if I didn't know, but usually wrestling pretty much formulaic outside of the few things that get leaked through the internet, which peak my interest, like the CM Punk coming back and Bryan Danielson going to AEW brought me back to watching wrestling gave me a renew vigor of passion for it. Again great interview, bro. Keep it up.

@@DutchRd nah mate, I mean Jay White could come into AEW to butt heads with the Elite while Adam Cole is trying to make it his own faction, adding wrestlers from NXT. The bigger storyline would see White engaging with Cole, knowing that Omega is gonna be out for like 6 months recovering. The beef between White and Cole could start in AEW and see multiple talent from both factions crossover between AEW Dynamite, AEW Rampage, and NJPW Strong. When Omega returns, I expect to see a major faction war because of all this!
