Actually, Axl Rose of Guns and Roses was the first non-athlete to have his own sneaker. This was around 91'. Axl had Jay's status back in the day and people seem to forget. So even though the S. Carter shoe is promoted as such, Jay has the 2nd non-athlete shoe by a major artist.
