His superhero references at the end of each verse seem to show his understanding that the beat change sounds like a change of levels, like going from feet pounding on the ground, scrambling, leaping, twisting, doing some damage with laser cannons, leaping kicks, cluster bombs and batarangs then suddenly the chorus comes and your up in the air flying through NYC away from the bullshit like your untouchable but really your racing at breakneck speed tearing through absolutely anything just to get to the next emergency, so when the verse drops, you touch down again and your back on that bull, ready to fuck shit up This is how I hear music.
