Being rich does lower the feeling of urgency, panic, or anxiety, and it gives you space to be more introspective. Some people are able to deal with what they find and overcome their fears or perceived deficiencies; others wither, falter, break, or run right back to the stressors in a misguided attempt to just forget, numb their senses, or avoid confronting the imperfections that shaped their identities.
