I was at a Reasonable Doubt concert in 1996. I wasn’t into rap anymore as I had turned 30. I walked past Jay-Z and into the kitchen while he was rapping on our dance floor. I listened from the kitchen.

This video is so ill! Jay was offering basic hand gestures and just rhyming. Lol these people in the crowd probably had no idea they were witnessing a legend in the making. It's amazing the growth he's undergone as an entertainer.. No longer stiff and uncomfortable on the stage, but is able to move 20,000 plus. Respect to one of the best to ever do it.

I remember when I FIRST heard that album I was in the 10th grade and my homeboy told me about Jay Z, he said "YOU GOTTA HEAR THIS"!... man I played that CD so many times till ring like scratches was on it. I got EVERYONE hooked on Rocafella y'all uuhhh!!!! So between Rocafella and Suave House... Nothing else was playing in my ride for a LONG TIME! And NOW the ironic thing y'all... My wife is from Brooklyn!!! How crazy is that!!... And when I met her I KNEW that's NY... Brooklyn chicks a WHOLE other thug girl.... I can honestly say them chicks is just like what Jay and Foxy said... Crazy story!
