This album came out when I was 16, I wasn't mature enough to digest a lot of the lyrical content. Im 20 now and coming back to 4:44 with a slightly more elevated perspective- this is the first time I feel like I truly SEE what is being presented. I know Im still young but I wonder what it will feel like in just 10 more years, savoring moments like this. This story is timeless, this music is timeless. Thank you.

Living in the shadow, can you imagine what kind of life it is to live? In the shadows people see you as happy and free, because that's what you want them to see. Living two lives, happy but not free. You live in the shadows for fear of someone hurting your family or the person you love. The world is changing and it's time to be free. But you live with the fear of just being me. Living in the shadow feels like the safe place to be. No harm for them, no harm for me. But life is short and it's time to be free. Love who you love because life isn't guaranteed. *SMILE* -Gloria Carter

William Greene black trans women are far and away the most at risk group in the trans community for assault and murder, and that’s largely due to the fact that a lot of black People are transphobic as hell. I’m assuming you’re not LGBT because, no exaggeration, I’ve never heard a gay or trans person of color say that the black community is LGBT-friendly. It is absolutely a problem. It’s also a problem in white conservative communities. The common denominator is almost always religion. The more religious a demographic is, the more homophobic the group tends to be. Black communities that are particularly religious end up being particularly homophobic
@TheFreshTrumpet7 жыл бұрын
William Greene and honestly, rap music is a pretty decent indication of values in some black communities, so it’s really not that crazy to use homophobia in rap as an example of homophobia in the black community

This video brought me to tears and it made me feel so warm inside. There's something about seeing black people with pride in who they are (the afros). I wanna be successful in life but I'm far from a Beyoncé . Can't use my vocal talents lol I'm so proud of Jay and Bey ! They really made it ! It's so beautiful to see my people prosper .

Its a crypto currency( digital money) untraceable by the government and can't be taxed. Possibly the future of money to replace our current currencies. Some say it will pop which it probably will but theres tons of other crypto currencies that can and will grow.
