I like the Anker Soundcore Life Dot 2. They're $50 at Walmart, Target, Amazon. No ANC, but the seal is really good. They fit great and have some nice wings that keep them in my ears when running. Pretty comfortable, great battery life, sound quality is good. Microphone isn't really, but for $50, it's really really good value.

One of the most comprehensive reviews I've watched for a pair of headphones... well done! What I want to know is how these compare against the new Sony WF-1000XM4 for running. Also for cycling, specifically how they deal with wind noise at speed on a road bike. I'm currently using Aftershokz Aeropex but I struggle to hear anything properly at speeds of about >18mph. My AirPods Pro work ok but the stalks interfere with my bicycle helmet straps.

ki I had a jaybird vista 1 for a week but I returned it. I used them while running in combination with the Garmin Fenix 6x. After a few km, the headphones disconnected from the watch and it was impossible to pair them again. After the end of the run, only after putting them in the box, they were able to pair again. The problem was every time I was running. I am curious if the same problem will occur with jaybird vista 2.

I’d like to know how the Vista 2s are for the long term. Had 2 pairs of Vista (originals) and BOTH pair, one bud stopped charging at the 3 month mark. One pair was a BNIB replacement pair from Jaybird. Their customer service rep. told me I was lucky that I even got a replacement pair. I’d have a real difficult time trusting them again.

Jaybird Vista practically never came out of my ears whether I'm violently shaking head side to side, up & down to demonstrate to someone how secure they are or whether working out in gym in any position: * straight up vertically * on incline or decline * on sides horizontally * hanging from bar upside down I wear them practically everywhere & one of my most favorite places to wear them is to dentist office to drown out dentist tools high pitch whining... I would tell dentist to tap me on shoulder if need to get my attention then I'd pause music... With Vista 2s I'll be able to double tap to go into surround sense mode & can hear more clearly what dentist is saying without having to remove one of the earbuds... Same applies when listening to anything with both earbuds & someone wants talk I can double tap to hear them without taking out one earbud...

Hello @The Run Testers, Thank you for such a great video of the Vista 2 ear buds. It helped me to make up my mind and buy a pair for cycling and to start running. I have a question… when you have your buds in and your on a call can you hear your own voice? I can’t with mine, it sounds like I’ve got my fingers in my ears. I’ve tried all the settings and nothing helps. I may have a defective pair. Thanks guys 👍

Not sure anc and those surround sense features are really useful for running. Anyway awareness feature works with slight delay, thus it’s not safe enough to run in not well known locations or near roads etc. Better choose open in ear headphones such as AirPods non pro version and this is way more safe than this pair. The only missing feature is ip68, but it’s not really necessary and more on the marketing side.

I love my AirPods Pro, I have been running with them for over a year. My biggest issue is not the fit as they feel secure for me. I don't think it was mentioned in the video, but sorry if I missed it. Do these have an ambient sound passthrough mode? If so, is it useless when running due to air brushing across the mic? I'm trying to find a good passthrough mode or open ear design so I can be more aware of my surroundings. Bose is the winner so far.

Hi Drew, yep they do. It’s called SurroundSense and there’s a section on it in the vid where we test it out. It’s solid, and not useless because of air passing the mic.

Hello @the run testers. Thanks for the review. Could you tell me if the vista 2 also automatic shut off after 15 or 60 minutes (depending on the setting) like the vista 1? Does this setting still exist? It was a huge Selling point for me back then. Thanks
@TheRunTesters3 жыл бұрын
Hi, we asked exactly the same question as the shut down was often a lifesaver. Here’s what Jaybird told us: “The buds don't have an auto-shutdown but, when set aside and not put into the case they go into a sleep mode. This uses very little power and there's an in-ear sensor to wake them up when you get them going again.”
@TheMilaification3 жыл бұрын
@@TheRunTesters oh nooo. Just why? It’s really hard to find any earbuds with this automatic shut off feature. Why didn’t the let this in optional. I use them not only for Sport bug also for falling asleep. And I always know as soon as the sleep timer from the phone kicks in, the earbuds will also shut off. So I don’t sleep with some running Bluetooth device in my head. Or if I’m half asleep I just can put them on the nightstand without fumble them in their case to shutt them off or worrying about the overall battery life of the earbuds.
