Legacy of the Void has been released for about a week now, so here are some straightforward strategies you can use to beat each mission on Brutal difficulty. I will briefly explain my unit variant choices as well as Solarite allocation before each mission. Of course, there are many different workable strategies, though I aim to share some of the easiest ones for players to replicate via this walkthrough.

You did excellent by going through this on hard when the game was just released. Now I'm watching other players going blind into this on brutal and they are completely confused, even those who are considered as pro-players.

This was great help! I was using an army and splitting it up instead of building cannons and it really didnt work :P (didnt realise shield gens were so good) Subbed :) Looking forward for you helping me on the other missions :P

I just beat this, i tried playing it slow but always ran out of money. So what I did, right before you take the building out that spawns the nydus worms is built as many stalkers as I could. The protoss attacked me on the left and I abandoned my base. Then I just walked my stalkers to the right bottom zerg area, took the building out, ran to middle, and went to left side building, i microd to takr out the defending protoss units, then when it was only zerg I blinked and took out the building. At this point the nydus had already spawned, when the protoss attack reached my nexus, I ran my probes to the right side gateway, and then moved a few others into some corners. My probes literally walked by the nydus as they were spawning in, but luckily the few ai ignored them. So then my buildings were almost all dead, and i started spawing pylons in while my stalkers ran by the huge army protecting the last building. I managed to take it out with just 2 stalkers left. They killed my last 2 stalkers immediately after, and all my pylons, but because there is a 5 to 10 second delay before you get mission failed due to no buildings, the win managed to kick in. Now I want to see how someone else did it, csuse it seemed impossible with how little resources you get.

+Better Worse The interface of StarCraft 2, along with extra dialogues created in specific missions, make face cameras really clog up the screen or block information.

Man, I love it when you say something bad, then something worse and then you panic about it while trying to fix it. It has happened a few times. Suffice to say I get it, and don't worry, we understand.

Tried to over power the evil protos and hybrid to no avail. Stalkers are great at closing with numbers but taking on hybrids and immortals with zealots. Truly out gunned in this mission. Completed hard mode by building 3 shield batteries protecting 6 canons on each side. Using them when hybrids, immortals. Ultralist come running. Then conserve my resources for attacking out once the big guys take a beating at the base.

i'm replaying this a month after trying to replay it for brutal achieve but i had to 'start' the mission on brutal to get that 'brutal' stat to appear on the menu. the first time i played this i did it the regular way and ended up in a mad rush at the end because the enemy team had base traded with me O_O i won but it was a messy victory. this is a much saner strat i wish most brutal strats have something like this were you can cheese the events with well positioned defense or stationary defense

Im surprised how you beat this mission. I went mass stalkers and no zelots. I thought this mission was unbeatable otherwise. But your creative use of canons and shield was quite clever.

I actually took out and mined out the protoss base, but the end result was the same, barely had anything to work with. just had to micro the last one

Have you tried to beat it again on hard but with out losing a single unit or structure? cuz I did it and was more challenge than beat it on brutal...

I had a weird bug which started this mission and carried into the others. When i clicked continue campaign on the sc2 LoV page it loads this map and gives me all the units unlocked of the last mission and all the solar core abilitys. Even if i restart or return to the spear its still the same. Anyone else having that bug? Only way out of it is to load a save that you had on the spear of adun.

for LOTV this mission is insanely hard if you are not properly planning
